Review/Lip Swatch: Chanel Aqualumière Gloss 67 Diamond Rose

There I was, "shopping" my stash. In this post, I'm gonna feature Chanel Aqualumière Gloss 67 Diamond Rose (one of my favorite pink lipglosses).

"AQUALUMIÈRE GLOSS surprises you with its wonderfully soft texture and exceptional glide-on quality. Its magical formula, paired with a supple and precise artist’s brush, provides ultimate comfort while perfectly defining your lips. Your smile is embellished with a dazzling shine. Vibrant and sheer shades for naturally irresistible lips."

***Extracted from Chanel website***

The lipgloss is sheer (fairly-pigmented) and ultra-shiny. I love that it's 100% unscented, which I really appreciate much!

I own a few Chanel glosses, most of which are Glossimers. Glossimers come with doe-foot applicator, while Aqualumière glosses come with a soft brush applicator. I don't have a preference; both apply just as well.

Btw, Aqualumière glosses are not as shimmery as Glossimers. Glossimers are super ultra-shimmery, at least 3x more?

The color itself is a light frosty pink, which complemented my fair-medium skin tone (NC/NW-20).

Goes on smooth on my lips, with zero sticky feeling! It can be layered on top of lipsticks, for a shinier finish.

The sheen and pink/blue micro-shimmers are really pretty. Very moisturizing and somehow diminishes the dryness of my lips :D

Ooo.. My lips look so plump and luscious

Well, the lasting power is not as long as Glossimers. That doesn't really bother me. Just need to re-apply every 2 hours? Expensive ($38 if I'm not wrong), but worth every penny (:

Lip Swatch: Clinique Vitamin C Lip Smoothie in Pink Me Up

Picked up Clinique Vitamin C Lip Smoothie in Pink Me Up few weeks ago at Metro Paragon. I got this deluxe-sized sample through the Clinique FB Fanpage giveaway.

FYI, this isn't a new product from Clinique.

Description from Temptalia:

"This gorgeous, colourful lip product is bursting with “good-for-you” ingredients to provide treatment benefits, along with luscious colour to your lips. Six juicy, antioxidant rich shades help improve the appearance of lips instantly. The non-sticky, highly moisturising formula provides stay-true colour, buildable coverage and complete comfort. And the convenient, portable flow-through brush applicator delivers just the right amount of coverage with every use."

It contains Vitamin C and antioxidants for healthy-looking lips. The click-pen packaging does remind me of Stila lip glaze.

    Sweet shimmery pink.

The gloss goes on moderately sheer. See the really fine pretty shimmers?

    My thoughts:

The gloss is lil' sticky but it doesn't bother me much anyway. This lip smoothie has no apparent scent. It moisturizes and plumps up my lips. On my lips, it is a shimmery pink with a slight silverish sheen. I like how it looks on my lips with just the right amount of glossiness. The coverage is buildable. My lips feel so oh-so-soft and smooth. Can't wait to try other colors

Lip Swatch: Kiss Me Heavy Rotation Sexy Enamel Gloss 02 Kiss

I've been wanting to try out Kiss Me Heavy Rotation Sexy Enamel Gloss, but was put off by the price ($16.90 I think). It is selling at a much lower price in Hong Kong. And, I've managed to find a really good deal at this website "Bonjour". Less than SGD$10! With purchase of HK$775 (approx SGD$130), FREE shipping!

There are 4 shades available: 01 Vanilla, 02 Kiss, 03 Berry and 04 Honey. The one I'd gotten is 02 Kiss.

No fanciful packaging. Simple and clean-cut outlook.

The difference between this and the usual lipglosses I've is the dispensing part. To dispense the gloss, rotate the part attached to the lip brush to "OPEN" and gently squeeze the tube. One can easily control the amount of gloss needed, without having too much product dispensed out.

The lip brush makes application a breeze, but I prefer to use my ring finger to even out the gloss on my lips after which.

I must say it's a pretty pigmented and creamy gloss. Personally, I don't really find it that sticky. No shimmery bits. 02 Kiss is a sweet milky pink shade which can create the ever popular nudish lips. Oh, there's a slight coconut scent to it which fades off quite fast.

The cons will be that the gloss settles into fine lines which ain't really a pretty sight.

AND, make sure your lips are well moisturized prior application. If not, the gloss will actually emphasize your chapped lips.

Yucks, I know. It doesn't help when I've this habit of licking my lips...... -.-
