Mentholatum Acnes medicated skincare

thanks Fr3b once again for giving me the opportunity to try out full size Acnes 3-step kit (just in time to combat my awful zits) !

i was given Acnes medicated creamy wash, Acnes medicated sealing jell & Acnes medicated powder lotion.

besides these 3 products, Acnes medicated skincare has others like Acnes foaming wash, Acnes clear & white wash, Acnes oil control moisturizer, Acnes UV tinted milk, Acnes point clear, Acnes oil control cleansing sheet, Acnes tea tree oil clay mask, Acnes oil control mask & Acnes nose pore strip. those underlined ones i'm interested to get 'em :D

actually, i've used Acnes medicated creamy wash before. i bought it immediately when Acnes medicated skincare was available at watsons. back then, the product variety wasn't that extensive. i remembered that i like this cleanser pretty much and i finished using it quite fast since it's a rather small tube.

i like the refreshing lime smell. it foams pretty well but i guess the foaming wash will be much much foamier (i like) :p

after cleansing, it leaves my face feeling matte and moisturized. yipee ! thumbs up definitely :D

here's a yucky close-up of the awful zits on my forehead :C

ooo this is an interesting product which contains oil-absorbing powder to keep face clean and fresh for long hours ! WOW i like ! the before and after shaking pictures hahas ! my face feels refreshed (very soothing) and i love the minty menthol smell (weirds uh xD) the smell is not over-whelming, no worries ! super like this :p

the last step will be applying this sealing jell on my blemished skin. the feeling is quite soothing, which helps to calm my skin pretty well. btw it contains Sulfur which is an effective way to treat acne and pimples. Sulfur works against acne by causing peeling or exfoliation of dead skin cells from the surface layer of skin. however, though it can clear whiteheads and blackheads, it doesn't work for the more severe cystic acne.

and so, do try before you buy (i'm so naggy hahas !)

Kim Robinson Workshop

my new hairstyle, nice ?

hahas no i didn't cut my hair that short. i lack the courage to :D anyways, i went for this worshop conducted by Kim Robinson hair salon, thanks to jones ! she posted an entry about her friend beng lee who need hair models for presentation/workshop. and so, i emailed her friend as soon as i saw her post :p

on 26 july, i went for the workshop for long haircut alone -,- there was no more slots so jones can only go on the 27th for short haircut (ps: i saw her new hairstyle ! guess she'll blog about it soon :p seriously very nice !) hmm i chose the long haircut since i wasn't ready for v.short hair. actually my hair was v.long and i was planning to let it grow till waist length. oh well, i couldn't let this chance go by, right ? :p

ahh the sad thing is no one could tell that i had my hair cut -_-" prolly because mine is still considered long hair after the hair cut. in actual fact, about 40% of my hair was chopped off ! can't tell right -_-" now, my hair is very layered. i love my hair to be layered as my head certainly feels alot lighter than before. my friends don't like though as they think it's hard to maintain. nah, i don't think so (:

hmm let me tell you my experience :D the workshop i went to is basically a normal haircut by hairstylists from various salons. they are either trainees or experienced hairstylists trying on new cutting styles that they've learnt from the morning presentation. i reached the place on time and the moment i entered the workshop area, i felt quite intimidated. the hairstylists were indonesian chinese, most. quite a number of hair models reached by then. when i was seated there, some of the hairstylists came over touched my hair etc. btw they draw lots to be assigned to individual hair model.

my assigned hair stylist was an indonesian chinese lady. actually she didn't cut most of my hair. Mr Daniel Ng, creative director of Kim Robinson cut most of my hair while teaching and demonstrating the steps to the hair stylists (HAPPY ! xD) everybody had a chance to have their hair cut by him. it was interesting though, listening to him teach them in fact :D after the haircut, he even complimented himself that it's nice hahas ! the hair stylists still cheekily exclaimed, "hair nice, or face ?" DOT.DOT.DOT. i could feel myself becoming red instantly -_-"

anyways after the haircut & minimal styling, i was given a set of goldwell rich repair shampoo and conditioner (YIPEE ! so unexpected !) free haircut and free hair products Xp overall, it was truly an awesome experience for me. an eye-opener in fact. i'll love to participate in future workshops/presentations :3

ok here's a close-up of my eye makeup for that day.

love my mascara-ed lashes, thanks to the lovely combination of helena rubinstein glorious mascara 01 star black & sasatinnie super dolly powerful curling mascara black (: the glittery parts came from canmake jewelstar eyes 04.

Physiogel - RRR

what's RRR ? R-epair, R-ehydrate, R-evitalise !

so who does the job ? Physiogel !

why Physiogel ? i'll tell you why soon :p

a group of bloggers were invited to the Physiogel event by ju ann at grand park hotel. thanks for the lovely invitation !

now let's take a look at the products. as of now, they have a range of 8 products in total in singapore, for face/body/hair.

Physiogel has innovative Derma Membrane Structure (DMS) technology contains ceramide and other physiological lipids that mimics your skin's lipid layers. conventional moisturisers only replace the moisture temporarily, unlike Physiogel.

Repairs dehydrated skin naturally, relieving itch and dryness.

Rehydrates your skin, locking in moisture for up to 3 days.

Revitalises your skin, keeping it healthy.

oh they have this moisture level reading taken before the event started. it's done on the hand, not face. mine reads 96 :3 the ideal level is 70 & above so mine quite alright. hmm i wonder if there's a vast difference in between my face and hand moisture level.

then we applied the cream & lotion liberally on our hands and we had our reading done again. this time, mine reads 109. umm not much of a difference as compared to others.

most of us were busy snapping pictures, some haven't reach yet.

ooo we had individual instant shots taken over here :D

umm this was taken incidentally -_-" i was trying to take pictures of the bloggers who had just arrived.

this was the additional shampoo for the early birds. weeee ! :3

AND.. what's a blogger event without goodie bag ? :p

this goodie bag has $140 worth of products ! generous much :D

not forgetting the yummy finger food ! i was quite hungry by then and had a great time eating :x

ok back to topic :p first up Dr Mark Tang, giving us insight to dry skin. we were like students listening to lecture hahas xD no doubt it was informative and pretty helpful.

check out the signs of dry skin ! i've pretty dry scaly legs :C

an ideal moisturiser must be like "zip lock" :D

RRR ! don't just moisturise.

next up is Mr Eugene from Physiogel, sharing with us what's Physiogel all about.

showing us how Physiogel differentiates itself from conventional moisturisers.

these 5 points sum up Physiogel :D

this is a happy family picture of the goodies i received :D thumbs up !

yes, my individual shot :D
