Haul: NARS Fling Lip Kit - NARS x Guy Bourdin Holiday Collection [Photos & Swatches]

Reading beauty blogs can be dangerous for the wallet. I've been trying my best to resist temptation(s) every now and then. And, I managed to "behave" well so far... BUT I recently caved in after reading Sophia (makeupblogette)'s posts on NARS x Guy Bourdin Holiday Collection (LIMITED EDITION) - the one on the coveted Fling Lip Kit. When I saw the photos and swatches, I was sold. Lucky me managed to get the lip kit... I was so scared that it got sold out! Hmm... not sure if the lip kit is still available as of now. I think it should be sold out? :x

KissJane opens its biggest outlet at VivoCity

On 3 Nov, KissJane opens its biggest outlet at VivoCity, showcasing 19 brands and over 3000 new designs on that day. Besides clothes, the store also stocks bags, shoes and accessories at affordable prices.

I was invited to their official store opening on that day. It was a private event for the invited guests (media and bloggers), to preview their collections.

I spent almost 2 hours, just looking through, to select the dress I want. If you know me well enough, you would know I love wearing dresses. 

I was literally spoilt for choice. Just look at the massive amount of clothes... tops, dresses, skirts, pants, blazers, and so on!

I brought along Herine, my shopping companion of the day :D

I finally settled for this sailor-theme dress. It was in vermilion, a color that I'm lacking in my ever-growing wardrobe. It is of lightweight material, very comfy. Most importantly, I like that it doesn't require much ironing.

Looking at this pic, I think I seriously need to lose weight! I look so bloated :,/

By the way, the invitation came in the form of a lovely surprise. Sweetest, prettiest invite ever!

My B-day Nails [feat. Etude House Dear My Party Nails PBL601]

My birthday was 2 weeks plus ago. Here I am, blogging about my (belated) b-day nails. Ahems~ :X

Sally Hansen Diamond Strength No Chip Nail Colors 120 Diamonds [pictured left], 310 Princess Cut [pictured right] AND Etude House Dear My Party Nails PBL601 - I named it "Rainbow Confetti" ♥

This is super duper pretty! It was mad love at 1st sight, when I saw Sophia's nail swatch on instagram (makeup_blogette). It so happened that I was in town, so I happily made my way to the Etude House outlet near Orchard MRT only to find out it was OOS. Well, I was lucky enough to get the 2nd last piece at the Wisma Atria outlet. Phew!~

I wanted it so badly though I'm not a nail junkie. And, it was definitely $6.90 well spent! *HAPPY-ME*

A pastel blue milky base, with colorful small rounded and big hexagon glitters suspended within.

I applied 2 layers of "Rainbow Confetti", then 120 Diamonds as the top coat except for the ring finger nail - 310 Princess Cut. If you prefer a more opaque color as base, just apply your fave nail color then layer on "Rainbow Confetti".

Photos here, do not do any justice to my b-day nails. They look infinite times better IRL! I kid you not. 

I simply can't take my eyes off them - TOO PRETTY ♥

L'oreal Miss Candy Collection: Color Infallible Eyeshadow Swatches

A few weeks ago, I spotted L'oreal Miss Candy Collection at Watsons and Sasa. The magic words "Limited Edition!" eventually led to a one-item haul at BHG... coz there was 20% off (savings of ~$3).

Here's a snap shot I took at Sasa, showcasing Miss Candy Collection - Color Infallible Eyeshadow [$14.90] & Glam Shine Lip Gloss [$15.90]. I was interested only in the eyeshadows, and didn't bother swatching the lipglosses.

032 Sassy Marshmallow

An icy gray silver with specks of blue and pink.

036 Naughty Strawberry

A sweet strawberry pink with specks of orange.

031 Innocent Turquoise

A gorgeous turquoise with specks of pale yellow-gold.

These are quick swatches. I find that the color payoff is quite decent, and the texture feels creamily soft and smooth. In my opinion, they are pretty easy to use, to create that soft sweet look. 

If you like the iridescent finishes of these candy-hued Color Infallible Eyeshadow(s), you can get 'em at Watsons, Sasa, BHG and Guardian. 

By the way, the one I eventually hauled was 031 Innocent Turquoise. I'm still thinking whether to get 032 Sassy Marshmallow (limited edition) or Flashback Silver (permanent edition). Hmm... I'll probably forget about 'em when a new collection comes... :X

Snippets of My Life -- No.2

Just celebrated my bro's birthday 2 days ago, at Itacho Sushi. Once again, "Happy 25th!" :D

My choice, a bad one. Overall, Itacho Sushi food standard was really bad. The 40-cents soya sauce salmon sushi (limited to 4pcs per person) was the saving grace of this overpriced meal. Sushi Tei will be a better choice, me thinks.

My sis bought Hello Kitty chocolates from Taiwan! Surprisingly, they tasted pretty good. I had KFC Double Down before I watched Avengers. It was sinfully tasty!

Btw, Avengers is a must-watch! Hulk is incredibly funny (lol)! I'm loving all the characters, esp. Captain America ♥
