My B-day Nails [feat. Etude House Dear My Party Nails PBL601]

My birthday was 2 weeks plus ago. Here I am, blogging about my (belated) b-day nails. Ahems~ :X

Say hello to my current all-time faves!

Sally Hansen Diamond Strength No Chip Nail Colors 120 Diamonds [pictured left], 310 Princess Cut [pictured right] AND Etude House Dear My Party Nails PBL601 - I named it "Rainbow Confetti" ♥

This is super duper pretty! It was mad love at 1st sight, when I saw Sophia's nail swatch on instagram (makeup_blogette). It so happened that I was in town, so I happily made my way to the Etude House outlet near Orchard MRT only to find out it was OOS. Well, I was lucky enough to get the 2nd last piece at the Wisma Atria outlet. Phew!~

I wanted it so badly though I'm not a nail junkie. And, it was definitely $6.90 well spent! *HAPPY-ME*

A pastel blue milky base, with colorful small rounded and big hexagon glitters suspended within.

I applied 2 layers of "Rainbow Confetti", then 120 Diamonds as the top coat except for the ring finger nail - 310 Princess Cut. If you prefer a more opaque color as base, just apply your fave nail color then layer on "Rainbow Confetti".

Photos here, do not do any justice to my b-day nails. They look infinite times better IRL! I kid you not. 

I simply can't take my eyes off them - TOO PRETTY ♥

Too Faced Naked Eye Palette: The Day Look

In this post, I'll be featuring my LOTD (The Day Look) using Too Faced Naked Eye (Soft & Sexy Eye Shadow Collection).

I followed the step-by-step instruction card provided.

• Sweep In The Buff from lashes to brow.
• Press Pillow Talk onto the eyelid.
• Blend Like A Virgin into the crease and outer lashline.

 

On my face, I applied my favorite-of-the-moment Skin79 Vital Orange BB Cream (a review coming real soon!). It pretty much covers up my flaws. There isn't any need for a separate concealer unless I want a really full coverage. This coverage is more than enough for me (:

For soft-looking brows, I used Shu Uemura Hard Formula Eyebrow Pencil Hard 9 Brown 03. For natural-looking lashes, I first applied Etude House Oh~ m'Eye Lash Mascara Base (Petticoat) then 1 coat of Covergirl Professional Remarkable Washable Waterproof Mascara (Very Black).

I used K-Palette Real Lasting 24h Eyeliner in Deep Brown (♥ this color!) to line my upper lashline, extending the line slightly at the end. For my lower lashline, I used Essence Longlasting Eye Pencil 01 BLACK FEVER.

I lightly dust my HG Maybelline Dream Matte Powder in Sand Medium 0-1 only on the T-zone area. For some color on my cheeks, I used my favorite Lavshuca Blush PK-1.

The finished look is very neutral, I like :D No regrets on getting the Too Faced Naked Eye Palette!

"Superstar" Day (Food + LOTD: Purplicious Princess Fantasy)

After the Bio-essence event ended, I went to meetup with my gf. Initially thought of just going for some caffeine fix at Coffee & Toast (Citylink Mall). We somehow ended at a place where we shouldn't be x:

No, not KFC. We went to Chicking (Marina Square). Jessie recommended this place as the chicken meat is tender and juicy :d~ YUM YUM ! And not oily, I like ! We shared the 2pc chicken meal as we did have lunch. Umm this was a mini tea break LOL

 

The meal consists of chicken ribs (her favorite), chicken drumstick (my favorite), whipped potato x 2 & ice lemon tea. $6.50 but we paid only $5.50 coz got discount coupon :p

KFC, Popeyes, Arnold's, Chicking. Which one you prefer ?

Chicking whipped potato has a buttery taste which I like. BUT I don't like the brown gravy. Luckily, Jessie's preference is exact opposite xD

A few hours later, Kelvin picked ups up and drove us to Golden Mile Food Centre for dinner.

I had the famous Chung Cheng Prawn Mee (dry). Generous serving indeed for just $3 ! See the amount of chilli o.O There's prawn, pork ribs, sliced eggs, tau pok. Not the best I'd eaten so far. The soup was pretty good (refillable somemore). I still ♥ Beach Road Prawn Noodle House !

Jessie's favorite famous 91 Char Kway Teow, which I don't really like much. Rather healthy coz of the veggies added, without pork/lard sounds so wrong =.= I still prefer the sinful version with lotsa pork/lard x:

I like that it's non sticky and gives my lips a fuller look. I love this pink on me and the awesome shimmers ♥ It stays on pretty well and my lips did feel moisturized. No annoying scent. The downside is none other than the rather bulky packaging. That's about it. Thanks for reading (:

LOTD: Royal Purple Affair (feat. KATE Diamond Cut Eyes PU-1)

My favorite color, purple ♥

I bought KATE Diamond Cut Eyes PU-1, mainly for the beautiful royal purple color.

Top left: Pale gold/silver (glittery)

Top right: White (shimmery)

Bottom left: Lilac (shimmery)

Bottom right: Royal purple (shimmery)

Love the colors and the silky smooth texture ! The colors are very well-pigmented, as compared to that of Integrate (used in my previous LOTD). Hmm they are not THAT intense, since Japanese makeup tends to lean towards shimmery subtle colors' look. Now, I'm VERY tempted to get prolly 1 or 2 more of the KATE Diamond Cut Eyes palette(s) x:

Lilac (shimmery), Royal purple (shimmery), White (shimmery), Pale silver (glittery), Pale gold (glittery).

This palette is easy to work with, and the colors blend pretty well (: There ain't any major fall-outs for the glittery e/s colors. And, they definitely add a dazzling touch to my eye makeup look.
