Skin79 O2 BB Cleanser

Skin79 recently launched the O2 BB Cleanser, a self-bubbling cleansing foam for makeup with double effects of 2 cleansing steps.

girly pink + white combi ♥

Skin79 O2 BB Cleanser offers a 6-in-1 effect:-

  • Eliminates BB cream makeup of strong coverage with compact and rich bubbles.
  • Has a BRIGHTENING effect with 3x more dense O2 Bubbletox system and Maackia Fauriei & OBFN ingredients.
  • It contains the skin DETOX effect with micro O2 Bubble particles which clear up sebum and dead skin cells.
  • It offers ELASTICITY to the skin by supplying plenty of MOISTURE and creating a skin barrier with Chia seed and Oatmeal.
  • The self lifting massage with soft rolling effectively delivers the Acacia collagen ingredient to the skin with elasticity.
  • It is LOW IN STIMULATION with a Free Formula System, and contains no Parabens, Colour, and Pernicious ingredients from minerals or animals.

Skin79 O2 BB Cleanser, in a nutshell:

  • ONE SHOT BUBBLE
  • DEEP MOISTURE CLEAN
  • SKIN DETOX EFFECT

Here's the ingredient list. Fyi, the main ingredients are Chia Seeds Extract, Acacia Collagen, OBFN (Pomegranate, Fig), Wichihagel Extract, Oatmeal Extract Hydration, Maackia Fauriei.

Comes with a fuss-free pump dispenser.

How to use?

  1. Pump the gel out.
  2. Apply and spread over the face, avoiding areas around the eyes and mouth.
  3. When spread over the face, the gel bubbles up and becomes foam instantly.
  4. After 1 min, massage the face gently in circular motion.
  5. Rinse off with warm water.

Skin79 O2 BB Cleanser cleanses the skin very well, removing all traces of my base makeup. I like that it leaves a nice moisturized feel on the skin, leaving it feeling super soft and smooth. My skin doesn't feel tight at all. This is really an effective cleanser for base makeup. I'm surprised that it cleanses so well and so fast! Extra brownie points for the very soothing floral scent. It smells so good!

Do note that it is not meant for cleansing the eyes. Usually, I'll use Bifesta Eye Makeup Remover to remove the eye makeup 1st, then use Skin79 O2 BB Cleanser to remove my base makeup. Not much of a hassle for me.

Besides, the price is wallet-friendly at only $24.90 (100ml). I do foresee myself purchasing it once it's used up. In case you're wondering where to get it, it's available at Watsons, Sasa, John Little & BHG.

Skin79 Vital Orange BB Cream

I cannot emphasize enough how much I love this BB Cream. Here are the looks [CLICK HERE, CLICK HERE] I did, using Skin79 Vital Orange BB Cream [product details HERE].

Retail price: $49.90 (40g)

The bottle packaging of Skin79 Vital Orange BB Cream is exactly like that of its Hot Pink and VIP Gold counterparts. I was never a fan of orange (color). That said, this cheerful shade of orange has grown on me somehow.

It contains SPF50+ PA+++ (protects skin against UVA and UVB rays) -- that means you can safely skip the sunblock.

The pump area is a fingerprint magnet! Easy to wipe off with tissue though.

Skin79 Vital Orange BB Cream is formulated to suit oily/combination skin types. For those with dry skin, this may cause uneven patches. Do use a good hydrating moisturizer first and skip the use loose/pressed powder (to set BB Cream).

Remember to clean the nozzle area, after every use.

Press the pump lightly to dispense a pea-size amount for half of face.

I notice that it has a light citrusy scent, which smells nice to me.

A little goes a long way, as the consistency of this BB Cream is pretty thick. It reminds me of Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation, but not as thick. I find it easy to apply on the skin and blend out evenly using my fingers. It has a semi-matte finish, which leaves a luminous sheen on the skin.

The color is really light, more suitable for fairer skin tones. It has no obvious grey undertones. It has slight yellow undertones though. Luckily, it doesn't make my skin look yellowish.

I wouldn't say it matches my skin tone exactly, just a tone lighter. Well, I really like how it makes me look naturally fair... without looking odd when photographed.

Though the consistency of this BB Cream is pretty thick, it doesn't look or feel thick on the skin. It doesn't feel like I'm wearing a "mask" or anything. In fact, it feels beautifully lightweight and comfortable. Plus, it doesn't leave any sticky or greasy feel.

Coverage-wise, it's good enough to even out my skin tone and conceal my flaws. Medium-full coverage, I would say.

As you can see from the photos, it doesn't make my skin look in any way cakey. I really like love the nice soft-focus effect it has on my skin, which makes my skin look flawless!

I like setting Skin79 Vital Orange BB Cream with Maybelline Dream Matte Powder. It IS the best combination for me so far, which ensures that the oiliness is kept at bay. Lovely!

That's all. Hope my review helps. Thanks for reading (:

Too Faced Naked Eye Palette: The Day Look

In this post, I'll be featuring my LOTD (The Day Look) using Too Faced Naked Eye (Soft & Sexy Eye Shadow Collection).

I followed the step-by-step instruction card provided.

  • Sweep In The Buff from lashes to brow.
  • Press Pillow Talk onto the eyelid.
  • Blend Like A Virgin into the crease and outer lashline.

On my face, I applied my favorite-of-the-moment Skin79 Vital Orange BB Cream (a review coming real soon!). It pretty much covers up my flaws. There isn't any need for a separate concealer unless I want a really full coverage. This coverage is more than enough for me (:

For soft-looking brows, I used Shu Uemura Hard Formula Eyebrow Pencil Hard 9 Brown 03. For natural-looking lashes, I first applied Etude House Oh~ m'Eye Lash Mascara Base (Petticoat) then 1 coat of Covergirl Professional Remarkable Washable Waterproof Mascara (Very Black).

I used K-Palette Real Lasting 24h Eyeliner in Deep Brown ( this color!) to line my upper lashline, extending the line slightly at the end. For my lower lashline, I used Essence Longlasting Eye Pencil 01 BLACK FEVER.

I lightly dust my HG Maybelline Dream Matte Powder in Sand Medium 0-1 only on the T-zone area. For some color on my cheeks, I used my favorite Lavshuca Blush PK-1.

The finished look is very neutral, I like :D No regrets on getting the Too Faced Naked Eye Palette!

That will be all. Thanks for looking!

Sleek Oh So Special: The Glam/Party Look

Here's "The Glam/Party Look", using Sleek Oh So Special palette.

The colors I used:-

  • BOW (matte cream): above lid color [blends in with my skin tone]
  • CELEBRATE (metallic dark plum): define outer-V and outer 1/3 of lower lashline [this rich jewel-toned plum color is ]
  • ORGANZA (metallic copperish pink): inner lid area and waterline [one of my favorites in this palette]
  • GATEAU (metallic golden plum): on the crease [super pretty duochrome color]

BOW is too sheer for my liking. Though it is a matte eyeshadow, it doesn't feel chalky at all. These well-pigmented metallic colors have this nice buttery texture, which makes application a breeze. However when layer on "too much", they look a lil' frosty.

I'm lovin' Oh So Special so far :D

    Other products used:-

    right vs left (so different!)

    Like this look?

That's all. Thanks for popping by! (:

    My CNY LOTD

My CNY look was rather similar to the earlier LOTD I posted. A cooler version. I won't label it as "sweet" though. Most importantly, I only spent ~20mins on this look!

I didn't like Skin79 Vital Orange BB Cream + YSL Matt Pressed Powder No.1, which makes my complexion look kinda cakey. I much prefer Skin79 with Maybelline Dream Matte Powder in Sand Medium 0-1. Apart from that, I love the rest of the products I used for this look! Will be reviewing some of 'em real soon. Stay tuned (:

    The 15-mins Look

How long do you take to do your makeup? If I've got the time to spare, I'll usually take my own sweet time... say an hour or so? And for simple makeup, I'll need at least 15 mins.

    This is my kind of simple LOTD (look of the day) for last thursday, when I attended Lancôme media event (that will be covered at a later date). Presentable enough. Nothing elaborate. I was test driving Skin79 Vital Orange BB Cream for the day. And yes, I'm lovin' it! (;

This was how I look after 7 hours (blot once in the late noon).

    The close-up.

A wash of matte brown over the lids, using Make Up Store Microshadow [Chocolate]. Dejavu Lash Knockout Mascara, for my lashes. Doesn't help much with maintaining the curls. Commendable volumizing effect though.

I like the liner part. Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes in Mat Black 0L, then a thinly applied Heroine Make Smooth Liquid Eyeliner over it (as close to the lashline as possible). Extend beyond the lashline.

As for the (smudged out) lower lashline - outer part using MAC Pearlglide Intense Eye Liner [Designer Purple], inner corners using Essence Longlasting Eye Pencil 11 GO WILD.

      FACE

      • Skin79 Vital Orange BB Cream
      • Barry M Blusher 2 [Rose]
      • Maybelline Dream Matte Powder in Sand Medium 0-1 << HIT PAN ALERT! LOVE THIS MAX
      • Neogence Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Make Up Serum

      LIPS

      EYES

With strong flashlight, my skin looks almost flawless. Heh.

      That's all. Thanks for looking!
