Bifesta Konnyaku Revolution

It has been a long-long while since I last blogged... and... I'm back with a review!

If you don't already know, Bifesta is one of the few trusted makeup remover brands that I normally use. They have recently launched the new Konnyaku jelly format that treats skin so gently while removing makeup and oil from the deepest pores.

The prettily packaged jelly makeup removers come in 3 formulas to address different skincare and beauty needs. Guess which is my fave?

What is Konnyaku?

It is also known as Konjac; a plant that is well known as a health food due to is dietary fibre and moisture content.

It is also popular as a beauty product thanks to its smooth, soft texture and effective, gentle cleansing ability.

Thanks to its smooth jelly-like texture, it cushions your delicate skin against cleansing motion without causing undue friction and tugging.

Bifesta Konnyaku Cleansing Gel (Scrub-in) $16.90
Fragrance free, Colorant free

How to use?
Dispense a cherry-sized amount onto palms and spread evenly over face. Massage gently and thoroughly to remove and lift away makeup. Rinse off well with water.

The Konnyaku jelly ingredient feels really gentle on the skin. It glides easily on skin and leaves no oily after-feel. The Konnyaku exfoliants do not feel harsh on my sensitive skin at all. My skin feels thoroughly cleansed, smooth and clear thereafter. Glad that there is no redness, itchiness or whatsoever.

By the way, do use a separate eye makeup remover as this is only meant to be used for the face.

Bifesta Konnyaku Cleansing Gel (Clay-in) $16.90
Fragrance free, Colorant free

How to use?
Dispense a cherry-sized amount onto palms and spread evenly over face. Massage gently and thoroughly to remove and lift away makeup. Rinse off well with water.

This is my fave of the three. It feels gentler on the skin, as compared to the scrub variant. However, it has a higher cleansing ability thanks to the Okinawa sea clay ingredient. This lovely ingredient deep cleanses and absorbs excess sebum stuck in pores to reveal clearer skin. My skin does not feel too squeaky clean thereafter.

I tried using it to remove my light eye makeup (just waterproof eyeliner)... and it removes really well! It is so gentle that it does not sting the eyes.

Bifesta Konnyaku Cleansing Gel Liquid $18.90
Fragrance free, Colorant free, Paraben free

How to use?
Dispense about 2 pumps onto palms and spread evenly over face. Massage gently and thoroughly to remove and lift away makeup. Rinse off well with water (preferably warm).

To me, this is more of a cleansing oil than liquid. Well, it contains natural orange oil. But it does not feel as oily as the conventional cleansing oils.

If you are lazy to use a a separate eye makeup remover, this is the right one for you. It dissolves all your face makeup, even hard-to-remove waterproof mascara.

Available at all leading supermarkets, personal care stores, western pharmacies and departmental stores.

A Different Purplish Red Look

I'm finally back to the blogosphere after almost a month of unannounced hiatus! Hmm... no thanks to my super hectic work schedule. Anyway, 3 weeks ago... I visited my hair sponsor for a new hair color... very happy with the end results (as usual)!

Do you realise something different about Matsui Hair Studio? See the beautiful artwork on the wall? Fyi, it was done by the talented students from NAFA! The colorful artwork adds a touch of vibrancy to the minimalist interior design of the hair studio.

As usual, here is a 'before' look of my hair. I know... I know... I am terrible at maintaining my hair condition. It was time for Dickson (my trusty hairstylist) to "save" my hair!

A selfie before trimming my hair... (that awkward smile)

Many selfies thereafter :x Ooo... my hair looks much better after snipping off the hair-ends!

Here's another selfie while waiting for Dickson as he was busy attending to another customer... :D

At this point of time, I simply couldn't wait to see the results... coz I knew perfectly well that the end results will be faaantastic baaaby! ♡

Tadah~! Love the temporary curls so much... I wished they were permanent :x

Maybe not... coz someone said that I look matured... =.=~

MATURED MEH?? I think my hair looks super duper nice in fact... *TSK*

Super love the contrasting tones (and red highlights) on my fringe!

I took many-many selfies... in memory of my beautiful temporary curled hairstyle ♡

I really must applaud Dickson for being so brilliantly talented... never fail to make my hair look so fabulous! It took him almost 5 hours to complete this look! It's all worthwhile (:

Shall let my selfies do the talking... :P

Special thanks to Matsui Hair Studio, Apple and Dickson! Remember to quote my name 'Verlyn' when you make appointment with Dickson and you will get 15% off hair service at Matsui Hair Studio

Ready for a fabulous hair makeover? Do check out their GSS promotion (ends 27 July 2014)!

Bloggers Appreciation Party feat. Award Winning products from Za, Aqualabel, Tsubaki, Senka, Majolica Majorca & Ma Cherie!

It is always nice of companies who truly appreciate us bloggers. Shiseido Masstige Brands' team is clearly one of the rare few. Well, the blog title says it all.

Some time back, a "Bloggers Appreciation Party" was held at Oasia Hotel Suite to thank us for our support. So sweet of 'em right? (:

The party also showcased the (many-many) award winning products from Za, Aqualabel, Tsubaki, Senka, Majolica Majorca and Ma Cherie!

The suite was soooooo beautifully decorated!

It was like entering every girl's dream room - a vanity dressing table with countless beauty products...

... a rose petal-laden bathroom with Ma Cherie hair products... aww...

Presenting... the award winning products from ZaAqualabelTsubakiSenkaMajolica Majorca and Ma Cherie! These products are available at selected Watsons.

Shall end the post with one of my fave gals - Zerika (:

Thank you, Wendy (White Space) and Shiseido Masstige Brands' team for the exclusive invite! x♡x♡
