Neogence Ace Revitalizing Eye Serum

I've been using Neogence Ace Revitalizing Eye Serum for 2 months (day & night). How does it fair? Read on to find out (:

I like that it's in a squeeze tube packaging coz it's more hygienic. The nozzle opening is small, which I find it easy to control the amount to dispense.

The eye serum is yellowish and has a special gel texture formula (slightly greasy). Some may find the formula too rich for their liking, just right for my liking. Scent-wise, it is somewhat similar to petroleum jelly. Can be a lil' disconcerting for some. It helps that the scent dissipates upon application. No biggies.

The image above shows the amount used for each eye. Using my ring finger, I massage gently around the eye area. It glides on smoothly and melts easily into the skin. Once absorbed, there's no sticky or greasy feel. I can see the apparent difference when I'm done with one of the eyes -- visibly lifted. I can literally feel the firming sensation -- seriously amazing! The 2% high concentrate Vitamin A works very well in increasing elasticity and improving the firmness around the eye area.

The cons? I don't find it very hydrating though it contains hyaluronic acid. Hmm... I don't see much effect on my dark circles. They still look pretty much the same to me. Fyi, I don't have serious dark circles actually.

I can't comment much on the effect on wrinkles as I don't have this problem as yet (and I don't hope to see 'em appear any time soon). It does help in improving fine lines though. So far, I'm glad to say it doesn't cause any irritation or formation of milia seeds.

Review: Neogence Ace Renewal & Repairing Mask

I'd reviewed part of the Neogence ACE Revitalizing and Brightening Series HERE... and this post will be all about the mask! If you've been following me for a while, you should be well aware that I'm a mask fanatic. Mask-ing is an integral part of my skincare routine. I mask at least once a week, at most twice.

Neogence Ace Renewal & Repairing Mask is a special micro introducing mask which contains Rovisome® Ace Plus (revitalizing, anti-aging and whitening), Retinol, 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid, Matrixyl™ 3000, Hyaluronic Acid.

Results of using this mask?

• Enhancing skin elasticity and repairing
• Reducing fine lines and anti-aging.

 

Retails for $22.90. Each box contains 3pcs of mask (30ml).

The mask itself is very thin, and the material feels like cotton. The cotton fiber mask is wedged between a white plastic sheet and blue sheet (meant for ease of mask positioning). With the blue sheet, I find it real easy to place and position the thin mask (NOTE: without the use of a mirror)!

Fragrance-free; no scent detected at all. The mask is well-soaked with 30ml essence, with no left-over in the sachet.

How to use?

After unfolding the mask, remove the white plastic sheet. Place the mask onto face and make sure it fits snugly. Making use of the blue sheet, position the mask accordingly and peel it off across the face. Leave the mask on for 15-20 mins. No need to rinse off after removing mask.

The mask is so thin yet not fragile (doesn't tear easily). You can see my skin peeking through... and some red marks (mainly on the forehead).

The mask is a perfect fit for my face. Doesn't threaten to fall off while I'm multi-tasking.

It comes with eye flaps, which you can flip it up to mask your eye area (with your eyes closed of course).

I've used this mask once a week (last week and this week). No skin irritations experienced so far. No breakouts.

The essence has a fairly light texture, absorbs fast and doesn't leave the skin feeling sticky/greasy. I massaged the remaining essence instead of rinsing it off. After which, I apply Neogence Ace Revitalizing Hydrating Fluid.

Overall, I find the mask pretty soothing and moisturizing. My skin appears visibly plumped and radiant after removing the mask. I also noticed that my pores are minimized and laugh lines slightly reduced. Highly recommended for those who are looking for a good and affordable anti-aging mask.

My CNY LOTD

My CNY look was rather similar to the earlier LOTD I posted. A cooler version. I won't label it as "sweet" though. Most importantly, I only spent ~20mins on this look!

I didn't like Skin79 Vital Orange BB Cream + YSL Matt Pressed Powder No.1, which makes my complexion look kinda cakey. I much prefer Skin79 with Maybelline Dream Matte Powder in Sand Medium 0-1. Apart from that, I love the rest of the products I used for this look! Will be reviewing some of 'em real soon. Stay tuned (:

The 15-mins Look

How long do you take to do your makeup? If I've got the time to spare, I'll usually take my own sweet time... say an hour or so? And for simple makeup, I'll need at least 15 mins.

This is my kind of simple LOTD (look of the day) for last thursday, when I attended Lancôme media event (that will be covered at a later date). Presentable enough. Nothing elaborate. I was test driving Skin79 Vital Orange BB Cream for the day. And yes, I'm lovin' it! (;

This was how I look after 7 hours (blot once in the late noon).

The close-up.

A wash of matte brown over the lids, using Make Up Store Microshadow [Chocolate]. Dejavu Lash Knockout Mascara, for my lashes. Doesn't help much with maintaining the curls. Commendable volumizing effect though.

I like the liner part. Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes in Mat Black 0L, then a thinly applied Heroine Make Smooth Liquid Eyeliner over it (as close to the lashline as possible). Extend beyond the lashline.

As for the (smudged out) lower lashline - outer part using MAC Pearlglide Intense Eye Liner [Designer Purple], inner corners using Essence Longlasting Eye Pencil 11 GO WILD.

Review: Neogence Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Mask

I bought this Neogence mask months ago @ Sasa for only $1.95 (single sheet). I think the original price for one box of 6 (sheets) is around $30 if I'm not wrong. However, there are promotions going on every now and then, prolly you can get it @ a lower price like I did.

Oh I just realized that there's a change of packaging on Neogence Taiwan website for this hydrating mask (entire range), maybe that's why the low price ?

This hydrating mask sounds really promising right ? It is stated that this mask provides instant hydration treatment for the skin and rapid water replenishment. Skin will look smooth and refined after use.

30ml of hydrating serum concentrate provides optimum deep moisturizing effect on the skin. These moisturizing ingredients will help to plump the skin, improving its water status and restoring skin radiance from within. Say bye-bye to rough, dry, dull-looking skin !

When I removed the mask from the sachet, it was dripping wet. There was still hydrating serum concentrate left in the sachet, which I promptly poured out and apply on my neck area :p

I would say the mask fit my face pretty well, and it comes with eye flaps which conditions my eye area as well. It's like a mini facial treat for my skin and I felt so relaxed having the mask on !

Well, I usually remove sheet mask after 15 minutes at most, same for this though it states that the mask can be leaved on for 15-20 minutes. After which, I will pat my face to help the hydrating serum concentrate to be better absorbed into skin. In the past, I used to leave on the mask till it almost dried up, thinking that this was the correct way for skin to absorb the goodness -_-" What I did, is an absolute no-no as I learnt that it will actually cause fine lines to form (too dry) and my skin condition will be worse instead.

Anyway, the mask was still wet after I removed it from my face, so I just use it to rub my dry body parts e.g. knees, elbows. OMG I tell you, the hydrating power's super good ! I could see visible results instantly ! My face appeared to be more radiant, imparting a luminous healthy glow. I could feel that my skin was well-hydrated and ultra moisturized. I super love this mask and will definitely repurchase (the new version) when there's promotion going on :p
