SexyLook Rice Extract Micro Inject Mask

One of my fave mask brands - SexyLook, has recently launched their latest technology from Japan - Micro Inject Series. This Micro Inject Invincible Mask is the latest technology from Japan!

The ergonomic design of the mask sheet coupled with the skin-friendly natural fibre, help ensure maximum penetration of the rich essence. And, the unique hydronet helps plump up skin moisture while giving it a firming effect. Skin will feel soft and supple after use. Sounds pretty good yea?

There are 3 variants in this Micro Inject Series, namely:- Rice Extract, Hyaluronic Acid and Aloe Vera.

I was sent the Rice Extract variant for review as my skin feels really dehydrated nowadays. Not to mention, the nasty breakouts on the sides of my forehead due to work stress... *sigh* 

SexyLook Rice Extract Micro Inject Mask 
Specially formulated with rice, yeast and sake kasu extract for deep moisturising, hydrating and skin reviving. It helps to boost skin's youthfulness, reduces the appearance of fine lines, keeping skin fresh and energized.

As shown, the mask sheet is incredibly thin and translucent. It does not tear easily though.

The light-weight cottony-soft mask sheet is slightly stretchy, adhering to my skin really well. 

The mask sheet contains 30g of essence. 

I leave it on for slightly past 15mins. As usual, I pat the skin gently after removing mask to enable the rich essence to be absorbed faster. In my opinion, the essence does feel slightly sticky initially. That being said, it absorbs into the skin easily and fast, leaving the skin feel adequately moisturized sans stickiness thereafter. 

Deep whitening skincare products usually cause my skin to feel irritated but this feels otherwise. Honestly speaking, I cannot feel that there is any firming effect after using this mask. Overall, I do enjoy using this mask because it is so soothing and hydrating. Go try the mask for yourself!

LoveMore South Pacific Gold Pearl Amazing White Mask

I have no idea why the names for mask are getting longer and longer... what a mouthful! Anyway, let's cut to the chase...


I'd gotten this highly raved LoveMore South Pacific Gold Pearl Amazing White Mask via an event, along with other variants. Its main ingredients include Gold Pearl Extract, Bitter Orange Flower Extract, SYN®-HYCAN.


If you don't already know, the newly formulated and upgraded LoveMore mask sheets are super thin (and soft), at only 0.02mm. They are so thin that the flaws on my skin are peeking through. You can probably tell from the pic that the mask is well soaked with essence. There is even leftover (in the sachet) that you can apply to your hands and legs.

As usual, the mask fits and adheres well. Unlike most LoveMore masks I'd tried, the scent of this variant is pretty strong. And, it takes a while for the scent to go away. 

I notice a slight brightening effect on my face after leaving on the mask for 15mins. That is, however, temporary. I think regular masking (once a week using this variant), will help in a much permanent result. Think radiant and even skin! 

Do note that the essence does leave an initial sticky feel that dissipates after patting and massaging. It will take a while though.

For Beloved One Extreme Hydration Bio-Cellulose Mask

The only For Beloved One product I've tried (1 year plus ago!), was the Melasleep Whitening Bio-Cellulose Mask. I was in awe by its effectiveness... AND the high price tag ($63/3pc) it comes with. 

This time round, I got to try out another of their mask - Extreme Hydration Bio-Cellulose Mask. 


For Beloved One Extreme Hydration Bio-Cellulose Mask contains high quality hyaluronic acid and 3 patented moisturizing formulas. It is an all-in-one solution to moisturize, repair and brighten your skin. 

It is alcohol-free, suitable for dry and sensitive skin.



The wet side of the bio-cellulose mask (adhering to the semi-transparent paper foil) is to be applied on the face.


The mask has a cooling sensation though it's not refrigerated prior application. The translucent mask material is elastic, which allows it to fit and adhere rather well. I like that it comes with eye flaps that offer (optional) pampering for the eye area.

Unlike Melasleep Whitening Bio-Cellulose Mask, it contains significantly less essence.  


Upon removing the mask (after 20mins), there is a sticky feel left on the skin. It states that there is no need to rinse off after mask-ing. So, I gently pat the remaining essence until it is fully absorbed. Luckily, the sticky feel is gone thereafter, leaving the skin feel adequately moisturized. I notice that it brightens my skin a little but that effect is temporary. Regardless, my skin feels soft and supple.

PS: It is recommended to apply this mask every 7 to 10 days.

Like the BRTC Zinnia Stem Cell Mask, it leaves a sticky feel aftermath. I rinse the face with water, to get rid of the stickiness.

This is a mask that I'll totally recommend for bad skin days - BRTC Zinnia Stem Cell Mask.

I remove the mask, after leaving on for 15mins.

Overall, I really like the mask for its excellent soothing and hydrating benefits. The only thing I dislike, is the icky sticky feeling it leaves aftermath. Well... just need to rinse the face after mask-ing (:

Sexylook Intensive Repairing Black Cotton Mask

Happy mid-week! I'm here to share my thoughts on yet another black mask - Sexylook Intensive Repairing Black Cotton Mask. Sounds familiar much? CLICK HERE for my review on the Moisturizing variant.

This Intensive Repairing Black Cotton Mask fights against aging with european beech while the obsidian extract (from volcanic minerals) promotes skin regeneration and mineralization for healthy and moisturized skin.

This is how the mask looks like, when removed from the sachet. 

Like the Moisturizing variant, the mask material is thin and super duper soft. Fyi, it is made of skin-friendly pure pulp cotton, infused with activated carbon. The mask does not come with a plastic insert, hence unfolding it does require some care and patience.

The cutting is still weird. Well, never mind about that since it adheres rather well. 

After removing the mask after leaving on for 20mins, I notice an instant natural glow on my skin. The essence does not feel slimy, and gets absorbed into skin very quickly. My skin feels and looks rejuvenated - radiant, well hydrated, less visible pores!

The Rose of Versailles - Oscar & Rosalie Face Mask (Peach)

To be ranked "No.1 Sheet Mask" on @Cosme (2011), is no easy feat. There are sooo many sheet masks out there!

The Rose of Versailles - Oscar & Rosalie Face Mask (Peach)

Both the male and female characters look equally beautiful...

Did I just read "GOLD" as one of the ingredients?!?! O_O

Besides gold, The Rose of Versailles - Oscar & Rosalie Face Mask (Peach) also contains pomegranate flower extract, camellia flower extract and several other plant extracts for silky and radiant skin. Moisturizing agents like lipidure and dipotassium glycyrrhizate are added to provide moisture and protect your skin.

It is gentle on the skin as it does not contain alcohol or mineral oil.

The mask contains 27ml of beauty serum. There is a lot of excess, which can be applied all over the body. No wastage :D

Despite having a slightly thick consistency, it absorbs into the skin pretty fast. No sticky feeling. I can still smell the honey peachy scent thereafter. Those who are used to non-scented masks, might find it a lil' overwhelming initially.

The mask does adhere to the skin snugly, without falling out of place during mask-ing. It comes with eye flaps, to mask your eye area. 

The sheet mask feels like cotton cloth, soft but not easily torn. 

It is immensely soaked with beauty serum, which is dripping wet when removed from the sachet. There is a slight stinging sensation, which last for just a few seconds. That being said, the mask feels comfortably cooling and soothing on the skin throughout the skin pampering session. I notice a nice glow on my skin upon removing the mask (after 10mins). The redness on my skin (from light extraction) has greatly subsided. It hydrates the skin very well, leaving it feel soft, smooth and supple. My skin feels ultra moisturized after mask-ing.

Having tried so many sheet masks, I now understand why it is ranked No.1. An excellent sheet mask indeed. A MUST TRY!

The mask material is featherly soft and extremely thin (0.02mm), exactly the same as the French Caviar Anti-Wrinkle & Firming Mask I reviewed earlier on. It adheres well and does not fall off during mask-ing. Has a light pleasant scent. 

There is quite a lot of left-over essence, which I applied on my neck, hands and legs. The lightweight essence has a slight initial slimy consistency. Thankfully, the slimy feel is all gone after it is fully absorbed into the skin (after patting). The absorption rate is faster than most masks I've tried.

I love soothing and hydrating masks like this, which calms facial redness effectively. This is really good for those bad skin days, as skin feels and looks rejuvenated after mask-ing. 

A box of 5pcs, is priced at only $8.90. Very affordable, in my opinion. You can always get 1pc ($2) to try if you are skeptical.

Sexylook Intensive Moisturizing Black Cotton Mask

I haven't been mask-ing that regularly of late. That means, at least 3 times a week. Well, I do make sure that I mask at least once a week. 

Some time back, I received this Sexylook Intensive Moisturizing Black Cotton Mask along with LoveMore French Caviar Anti-Wrinkle & Firming Mask from Secretive.sg.

Effects:

Far Infrared releasing with activated carbon – absorbs dirt, excessive sebum and refines pores. Rehydrates and repairs skin for a natural glowing complexion. Rich in vitamins, minerals and anti-oxidant, ocean nurtured black pearl moisturizes skin for a satin-soft touch and pearl-like radiance!

Earlier on, I'd reviewed something similar (but more expensive) - Bihada Ichizoku Kurobarakamen Sheet Mask. That's for brightening, whereas this is for intensive moisturizing (I LIKE!!!!~).

These new Sexylook Intensive Care Black Cotton Mask comes in 3 variants:- Moisturizing, Repairing, Whitening. And, they are sold individually at $3.50 each. Price-wise, they are higher than the usual sheet masks.

The main ingredients of this mask are activated carbon-infused blackcurrant extract, red rose extract and obsidian extract. 

The mask material is super duper soft. I had difficulty opening up the essence-soaked mask to apply on my face. The cutting is kinda weird especially at the eye and mouth area. Too big eh.

Regardless, the mask does fit snugly on the face. Hmm... it looks like seaweed to me, no? lol

As you can see, the mask is thin. It doesn't tear easily though. 

I leave on the mask for about 20mins. It was still moist when I remove it. The mask essence doesn't feel sticky, which gets absorbed into skin pretty fast. Like most sheet masks, there's no need to rinse after mask-ing. 

What I like about the mask is that it really moisturizes my face intensively and is able to soothe the redness on my skin. It's like a quick detox session for the skin as the carbon helps in clarifying. My skin looks brightened, though the effect is pretty much temporary. There's no stinging sensation or whatsoever. I think it's a pretty good mask and definitely recommend this to those looking for an effective moisturizing mask.

The featherly soft mask material is really thin at merely 0.02mm, yet it does not feel flimsy at all. However, I still handle it with care, lest tearing it unknowingly.

I'm sure you can tell from the image above, that the mask fits snugly like a 2nd skin. The size of the mask is just right for my face, which runs a lil' big for those blessed with 八掌脸 (palm-sized face).

For those who are concerned with the scent, it doesn't smell anything (fishy) like black caviar. The scent is pretty faint, definitely pleasant. 

I leave on the essence-soaked mask for ~20mins, before removing it. I love how my skin feels/looks after mask-ing. Intensely moisturized and looking more radiant than before. I do notice that the essence gets absorbed faster than usual (after some massaging), leaving no sticky feel aftermath. A highly soothing and hydrating mask. An addition to my list of favorite masks. Highly recommended to all!

I'm not sure if my face is getting bigger... coz this lifting mask feels tighter, as compared to ones I'd used before. I can feel that there's more firming effect this time. As mentioned before, the mask does adhere better with ear-hooks.

I love the pleasant scent of rose water. It has this relaxing effect on me, improves my mood somehow.

After gently massaging the essence into the skin, my skin feels and looks more hydrated. From what I see, it clearly looks less stressed than before. That sums up my thoughts about this mask, a new favorite of mine (:
