Egokawa Sweetie Eye Lash [Natural Curl & Volume Up]

When it comes to fake lashes, I am no expert. Hence, I usually stick to my trusty mascara(s). Nowadays, I try my very-very best to be less lazy and put on fake lashes. Hmm... once in a month as compared to once in a blue moon? :X

Egokawa Sweetie Eye Lash comes in a box of 2 sets of fake lashes plus a mini creamy lash glue (thrown away).

It stinks really-really badly and it does not seem to dry. Basically, it was useless as the fake lashes cannot stick on at all.

The criss-cross fake lashes are plasticky, which have a graduated length from the inner to the outer ends. They are slightly voluminous at the outer halves.

The lash bone is easy to bend as it is not that stiff... slightly harder than those really soft kind.

I find them relatively light and easy to apply.

Hmm... I did not bother to trim the fake lashes to fit my eye length. I think the length looks okay for me?

Honestly speaking, it does get a lil' uncomfortable if I wear these fake lashes for too long. My eyes get irritated and start to tear =.=~~ Not used to them maybe?

Here's a photo of pretty Elaine & me at the Guess event, some time ago. Love these super clear photos taken by her camera! Credits to her for these nice (unmarked) photos

From far, the fake lashes do look somewhat natural. I like the naturally curled up lashes and the volumized look. Even with minimal eye makeup (actually just eyeliner on the lower lashline), my eyes look "properly dressed" :P

LOTD: A Pop of Orange [feat. Diamond Beauty]

I really like the look I created with Diamond Beauty makeup, something different from usual. It is a simple look, nonetheless.

My new holy grail BB Cream, The Body Shop Moisture White Shiso BB Serum Inside [REVIEW] provides adequate coverage for my blemished skin.

Other products used:-

*Note: Products highlighted are provided by beauty companies.

I apply Diamond Beauty Cream Shadow 03 Brilliant Gold as a base lid color, followed by Diamond Blush - Honey Orange for a pop of orange. The colors blend so well!

To brighten up the eye area, I dab a little Diamond Beauty Cream Shadow 03 Brilliant Gold on the inner half of the lower lashline.

To define the eyes, I tightline with La Rose de Versailles Eyeliner [black] and apply 2 coats of Bonavoce Ultra Volume Mascara.

On my cheeks, I apply Diamond Beauty Cream Cheek 04 Pure Orange as the base, and layer on Diamond Blush - Honey Orange. Lovely combination, isn't it?

Hope you like the look I created (:

That's all for now. Have a great weekend!

Haraju-Cute Box - Diamond Beauty

[Haraju-Cute Box - Diamond Beauty]

This is the 4th Haraju-Cute Box, featuring Diamond Beauty.

And so, these are the products I received.

  • Diamond Blush - Honey Orange
  • Diamond Beauty Cream Cheek 04 Pure Orange
  • Diamond Beauty Cream Shadow 03 Brilliant Gold

The packaging is simple; they are all housed in sturdy transparent acrylic casing.

Diamond Blush - Honey Orange

This golden orange coral cheek color contains very fine gold/orange shimmers. It is well pigmented, and has a silky smooth texture. I like that it gives the cheeks a long-lasting satin glow, without looking too shimmery.

Diamond Beauty Cream Cheek 04 Pure Orange

This pastel orange cream cheek color is definitely more pigmented than that of Diamond Blush. A little goes a long way. So be light-handed and blend away.

The texture is smooth and creamy, which makes it easy to apply and blend (with fingers). It can be used alone, or as a base for Diamond Blush (more long-lasting). Either ways, I like.

Diamond Beauty Cream Shadow 03 Brilliant Gold

This gold cream eyeshadow is super glittery! It is best used as a base for powder eyeshadow, as it does crease when used alone.

A LOTD post featuring these Diamond Beauty goodies, will be up next. Thank you for reading.

LOTD feat. Brigitte Romantic Makeup

Hmm... I noticed that my recent LOTDs have been pretty neutral, mainly browns. I haven't been using bright colors like orange, green, blue. Shall make a mental note to do so, in my next LOTD.

The LOTD in this post, is yet another neutral brown... with a touch of gold.

Romantic Blush OR-1 Orange ($24.90) & Romantic Eyes GD-1 Gold Brown ($26.90)

Earlier on, I've posted my review/swatches of Brigitte Romantic Makeup HERE.

Here's how the duo cheek color looks, swept across my cheek. I apply the orange-peach shade, followed by the light peach shade (to highlight). The duo shades blend seamlessly, creating a soft and natural look. The soft peachy orange shade is so niceeee! Right-right?

I apply the beige-brown shade over the lids, then the light pale gold shade to highlight the brow bone. Instead of eyeliner, I use the golden brown shade to define the eyes, and the dark brown shade at the outer end. To finish up the eye look, I apply Bonavoce Ultra Volume Mascara (to volumize my lashes).

Haraju-Cute Box - Brigitte

[Haraju-Cute Box - Brigitte]

This is definitely one of my highly anticipated Haraju-Cute Box, with the brand focus being Brigitte. Fyi, Brigitte is a girly romantic beauty brand, fronted by Rola (Japanese fashion model, TV personality and singer).

These are the products I receive, namely Brigitte Romantic Blush OR-1 Orange ($24.90) and Brigitte Romantic Eyes GD-1 Gold Brown ($26.90)

Brigitte Romantic Blush is a duo cheek color, for highlight and contour of cheekbones.

I'm so in love with the sweet elegant packaging! It literally makes my heart flutters

OR-1 Orange is perfect for naturally glowing cheeks. By the way, the rose motif "disappears" upon swiping.

The light peach shade is for highlight while the orange-peach shade is the main cheek color. Both are very soft colors that are easy to work with. You can't go wrong with them.

I like the silky smooth texture, which is gentle on the skin. The cheek color & highlighter combine to create a lasting beautiful glow on the cheeks.

Brigitte Romantic Eyes is an eyeshadow palette, which comprises of 4 delicate graduated shades of brown.

It has the same beautiful packaging as the blush. Love it!

I opt for GD-1 Gold Brown, which is perfect for a glam eye makeup look.

The light pale gold shade is the highlight color. The golden brown shade (with rose motif) is the main lid color. The beige-brown shade is for contouring the eyes, to be applied on the outer-V of the upper eyelids. The dark brown replaces the function of an eyeliner, to add a soft definition to the eyes.

All 4 shades contain very fine micro-shimmers. As you can see, they are decently pigmented. The colors show up well, even without the use of an eye primer/base beneath. Like the blush, the eyeshadows feel silky smooth.

No doubt, Brigitte products are of excellent quality! I've created a look, using these 2 products. I'll be featuring the LOTD in a separate post. Stay tuned!

Dramatic Thick Eyeliner Look feat. Bonavoce Premium Liquid Eyeliner - Extra Black

[Haraju-Cute Box - Looking for Big Alluring Eye?]

This shall be the last product I'm gonna talk about >> Bonavoce Premium Liquid Eyeliner - Extra Black, found in the Haraju-Cute Box 2

Bonavoce Premium Liquid Eyeliner - Extra Black contains rich carbon black ink, which ensures that the glossy black color stays on the skin without staining it. It is quick drying, perfect for layering to create a dramatic thick eyeliner look. Plus, it is smudge-resistant as well.

The packaging is simple - a glossy pale yellow-gold body with black wordings. It features an exquisite liner brush for smooth application. With calculated length, flexibility and angles of bristles, the brush applicator catches an adequate amount of ink to create a defined line (be it fine or thick), with precision.

For 1st time use, ensure the eyeliner is in vertical position (with brush pointing downwards), so that ink is able to flow down. Do check the ink density on your hand before lining the eyes.

There is no doubt countless brands of black liquid eyeliners available in the market. Despite that, this Bonavoce Premium Liquid Eyeliner - Extra Black really stands out from the crowd. It applies with absolute ease. The brush tip is soft, which applies gently and smoothly, without tugging the delicate skin of the eye area. As you can see, the black is truly intense, perfect for that dramatic thick eyeliner look. I also took the liberty to draw my lower lashline with it. I'm very impressed that it does not fade, flake, smudge or budge on me at the end of the day, especially the lower lashline.

It retails for $19.90, exclusively available at Haraju-Cute counters at selected Guardian stores.

AB Mezical Fiber Double Eyelid Tape

[Haraju-Cute Box - Looking for Big Alluring Eye?]

To kickstart 2013, here's my 1st review post of the new year >> AB (Automatic Beauty) Mezical Fiber Double Eyelid Tape - Haraju-Cute Box 2

Strong Adhesion, Tear-Proof, Natural Looking (Discreet), Perfect Double Eyelids

AB Mezical Fiber Double Eyelid Tape is "Japan's No.1 Double Eyelid Tape", endorsed by Kevin 老師. With this "wonder tape", bigger, brighter and more defined eyes can be achieved. No need to go through the pain of plastic surgery! :S

The green plastic box given to me, contains 30pc of Mezical Fiber and a shaping stick (not pictured). This lil' box can be reused to store small items like ear studs, fake lashes, etc. Go green (:

This is how the Mezical Fiber look like, upclose.

- for your reference -

Like the AB Double Eye RubberMezical Fiber must be applied to cleansed skin. Sweat, moisture, oil, dirt, makeup will deter the fiber from adhering properly.

As compared to the AB Double Eye RubberAB Mezical Fiber Double Eyelid Tape is slightly less discreet. Perhaps, it's just my lack of skills =.= Having tried this tape for several times, I can't seem to get the hang of it. The Mezical Fiber ends don't seem to adhere completely as I tend to adjust it repeatedly. It is obviously not advisable to do so. In my opinion, the Double Eye Rubber is much easier to use. Well, I just gotta keep trying :P

Look familiar? The eyeshadow I use for this look is Maybelline Hyper Cosmos Duo Eyeshadow CH-1.

I clearly need more practice! =.=zzz

*Note: Products highlighted are provided by beauty companies.

Fyi, for long lasting results, AB Mezical Fiber Double Eyelid Tape is recommended to use with AB Double Eye Liquid

It comes in 30pc - $19.90, 60pc - $27.90, 120pc - $45.90, available at Haraju-Cute counters at selected Guardian stores.
