LOTD: Emerald-Green-Play

It was a random look I did on a random night. I guess I was feeling kinda bored... So yea...

To even out my complexion, I use Ludifull Magic Cover BB Cream and L'egere Mineral Makeup Finishing Powder (to set).

The main greens are:- Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream #22 Emerald Green MAC Liquidlast Liner in Greenplay. The very intense-looking black is Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Eyeliner #1 Black Ink. It literally looks like black ink, no?

I draw the usual wing-ed out look with Emerald Green, using a liner brush. Then, I layer on Greenplay. I line Black Ink as close to the lashline as possible. Cyber Colors Ex Volume Waterproof Mascara in Black for lush looking lashes. The black is so intense, I like! Mitchy matchy with Black Ink :D

On a side note, Feb is ending in a blink of an eye. Looking forward to March (:

Too Faced Naked Eye Palette: The Fashion Look

Here I am, with the next instalment of Too Faced Naked Eye (Soft & Sexy Eye Shadow Collection) LOTD series - The Fashion Look. Hmm... I should really do a colorful look next...

To rock The Fashion Look, one must have Pink Cheeks and do a Lap Dance wearing Stiletto.

"Jokes" aside, I followed the step-by-step instruction card accordingly (as usual).

  • Sweep Pink Cheeks from crease to brow.
  • Blend Lap Dance into crease and onto lid.
  • Apply Stiletto to upper lash line and extend outward, then blend into lower lashline.

I really like all the colors used for this look, especially Lap Dance (a pretty shimmery taupe with a hint of purple). To line and define the eyes, I apply Stiletto (a soft matte black) using a pencil brush. Shu Uemura Hard Formula Eyebrow Pencil Hard 9 Brown 03 as usual, for soft-looking brows. Sana Gafixx Matsuge Gatch-ly Mascara to amp up my lashes.

MAC Viva Glam Cyndi Lipstick is a soft rosy red on me, which I absolutely adore. I like the lustre finish, which the color intensity can be build up according to one's preference. Love how it brightens up the whole look effortlessly.

As for my face, I use Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation 51 Light Vanilla & set with L'egere Mineral Makeup Finishing Powder. I kinda like the combi result, a nice dewy finish. I barely notice any flaws on me... all covered up! On my cheeks, is a light swirl of Jill Stuart Mix Blush Compact 10 Sweet Biscuit.

Okay, that's all. Thanks for looking! (:

Subtle Cat Eye Look

I took a considerable time doing this makeup look. More than an hour, in fact. I spent most of the time doing my eye makeup, ensuring it was wearable enough (before I head out for the Keratinology event).

Yes, I finally used Essence I ♥ ROCK gloss eye pencil! I lined the upper and lower lashline thicker than usual, extending a little beyond the eye. As it was supposed to be subtle and wearable, I didn't make the line thicker towards the outer end. Then, I applied Stila Mineral Matte Eye Shadow in Batura (a dark gray shade) over the liner as it smudges on its own.

For the entire lid area (above the liner) and lower lashline (over the liner), I applied Maquillage VI144 (a lilac shade with silver micro-shimmer bits).

I literally spammed 3 different mascaras for my lashes - Maybelline Colossal Volum' Express Waterproof Mascara (to hold the curls), Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Frame Plus Mascara BK999 (to comb the lashes) & Heroine Make Volume & Curl Mascara (for volumized and glossy black lashes). That explains the time taken for this look yea. I like to experience with different mascara combi, to achieve my desired look. Some mascaras don't work wonders on its own.

For the eyebrows, I used the Mio Piccolo Automatic Eyebrow Pencil MB. I like how the color looks on me. Sad to say, it ain't long-lasting. I had to briefly touch-up the brows after merely 3 hours. *DOTS DOTS*

For overall contour, I used the bronzer part of Pop Beauty Cheeky Cake in Beach Beauti. I applied that under the cheek bones from the hairline to the apple of cheeks. Next, I applied Alobon Bake Blush 03 over. Finally, I used MAC By Candlelight MSF as a highlight just above the blush/bronzer area.

The base makeup products I used:- Kevin Beautymaker DNA Extreme Whitening Foundation (Natural) YSL Matt Pressed Powder No.1. I did some minor concealing with Kevin Beautymaker BB Mineral Concealing Cream.

I lightly brushed Kevin Beautymaker Bright Eye Pressed Powder under my eyes, to brighten up my peepers.

Last but not least, Laneige Snow Crystal Moisture Lipstick SYR02 Nude Beige on pre-balmed lips.

Me like this look on me :D

The next LOTD will be for CNY. I'm thinking simple sweet look?

What's gonna be your look for CNY?

The 15-mins Look

How long do you take to do your makeup? If I've got the time to spare, I'll usually take my own sweet time... say an hour or so? And for simple makeup, I'll need at least 15 mins.

This is my kind of simple LOTD (look of the day) for last thursday, when I attended Lancôme media event (that will be covered at a later date). Presentable enough. Nothing elaborate. I was test driving Skin79 Vital Orange BB Cream for the day. And yes, I'm lovin' it! (;

This was how I look after 7 hours (blot once in the late noon).

The close-up.

A wash of matte brown over the lids, using Make Up Store Microshadow [Chocolate]. Dejavu Lash Knockout Mascara, for my lashes. Doesn't help much with maintaining the curls. Commendable volumizing effect though.

I like the liner part. Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes in Mat Black 0L, then a thinly applied Heroine Make Smooth Liquid Eyeliner over it (as close to the lashline as possible). Extend beyond the lashline.

As for the (smudged out) lower lashline - outer part using MAC Pearlglide Intense Eye Liner [Designer Purple], inner corners using Essence Longlasting Eye Pencil 11 GO WILD.

As always, my eye look is the focus of this LOTD. I love pigmented eyeshadows. For a change, I'm going all subtle for this look.

Skip the powder shadow brushes and water – our pencils make it easier than ever to get vibrant eyeshadow looks on the go. Experiment with multiple shades layered together, then blend away for an unbelievable effect that sets and stays put. All shades are paraffin, mineral oil, and paraben-free.

**Image & info above taken from www.urbandecay.com**

Available in 12 colors. Retails at SGD$36 each. These Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Shadow Pencils were launched before the Sephora Jumbo Liner 12HR Wear Waterproof do. Yes, they serve the same purpose (eyeshadow, eyeliner or both). Sephora ones come in more colors though.

I did pick up 2 of these before I got the Sephora ones. Guess what colors??

Answer at the bottom with pics included.. :D

Well, I do feel that the Urban Decay ones are uniformly better in quality than the Sephora ones. Even the lighter shades are so creamily pigmented. The color payoff is fabulous, evidently shown from the swatches.

    • Sin (champagne)
    • Lit (golden bronze)
    • Midnight Cowboy (beige with silver sparkle)
    • Clash (bright turquoise with silver sparkle)
    • Wasteland (dark brown)
    • Morphine (light purple with pale blue shift)

    • Barracuda (black with silver sparkle)
    • Rehab (taupe)
    • Delinquent (dark purple with bright purple sparkle)
    • Clinic (emerald green with silver sparkle)
    • Mercury (gunmetal)
    • Narc (mossy green)

My mini haul - Clinic & Delinquent

These colors look very familiar?? CLICK HERE hehehe :p

Let's see the difference.. not much actually..

MAC Pearlglide Intense Eye Liner in Designer Purple VS Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Shadow Pencil in Delinquent

Hmm.. seriously looks almost the same under the naked eye.. That's good news for me.. AND you! Delinquent is permanently available! :D The miniscule difference is the shimmers in Delinquent are lil' more pinkish. I say, a super close dupe!

MAC Pearlglide Intense Eye Liner in Undercurrent VS Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Shadow Pencil in Clinic

The difference is there. Gold & green shimmers -> Undercurrent. Light silver sparkle bits -> ClinicClinic looks more tealish than Undercurrent. Not exactly a dupe (in my opinion).

    Both MAC & Urban Decay are intensely pigmented, budge-proof, smudge-proof. MAC - SGD$28 (1.2g), Urban Decay - SGD$36 (2.8g). Price-wise, that's ALOT of difference. *GASP*

    Thanks for reading!

Review/LOTD/Swatch: MAC Pearlglide Intense Eye Liner in Undercurrent & Designer Purple

Nothing but raves for these MAC Pearlglide Intense Eye Liners. They are limited edition but I suppose you can get 'em thru' sites like eBay? The quality is awesome much! Currently the no.1 on my favorite eyeliner list

For now, I only own 2 out of the 6 gorgeous colors. I'm really looking into getting the other colors. Hmm.. Or perhaps wait for MAC to release new ones? Make 'em permanent PLS! :D

I've got Undercurrent & Designer Purple!

Richly pigmented colors, with a beautiful touch of shimmers & sparkles.

Undercurrent:- Bright teal with gold & green shimmers

Designer Purple:- Bright deep violet with pinkish purple shimmers

The formula is soft & creamy, which glides on smoothly (no skin tugging!). Pretty long-lasting. Doesn't smudge or budge. AND, it stays on the waterline with minimal fading! However, it is advisable not to apply on your waterline if your eyes are sensitive.

Can be used as an eyeshadow base as the soft texture makes it easy to blend.

Gives my eyes a lovely pop of color.. Me loves!!!!!!

Best for lazy days I don't feel like using eyeshadow(s).. :p

Mix of Undercurrent & Designer Purple on the lower lashline.

For my lips, I used MAC Lipstick in Bronze Shimmer (Frost) that I'd gotten from the ELLE/MAC PRIME Time Workshop.

That's all for now. Thanks for looking!
