Stila Lip Glaze Stick in Apricot

I bought two of these Stila Lip Glaze Sticks (different colors), one as a gift and one for myself. They are somewhat similar to Clinique Chubby Sticks, though not as chubby. I've not tried Clinique ones before, so I can't compare 'em.

[Apricot]

A sheer soft apricot color, with silver micro-shimmer bits.

Glides on oh-so-smoothly. Easy to apply; just like applying lipstick. The texture is much-much softer though, as shown from the swatch on tissue above. Just need to lightly swipe on the lips will do. Then lightly press lips together and rub them against each other to evenly distribute the color.

Smells sweet, but dissipates rather quickly. Quite moisturizing, I would say. It has a nice shimmery gloss sheen finish (with a hint of color), sans the sticky feeling.

I really-really don't like the sharpening part, as the product will get stuck on the sharpener. I make it a point to wipe with a clean tissue after each application, so that I don't have to sharpen with every use.

All in all, a nice-to-have product.

***I bought 'em online via StrawberryNET.***

Snips & Snaps

Hello! A random post of random stuff by the random me :D

"Who has the key to my frozen heart?"

Got this River Island (heart padlock) stud earring from ASOS, featured HERE.

Am into bright lips recently.

I'm using Maybelline Moisture Extreme 914 Iced Peach Tea, which I got during their sale (4 for $10 I think).

They've sales like these quite often. Best time to stock up. Heh.

TOP: Maybelline Moisture Extreme 914 Iced Peach Tea

BOTTOM: With Chanel Glossimer 109 Big Bang layered above (looks more "juicy" eh?)

Went for Sothys [W.]™+ Brightening Cosmeceutic Treatment (that I'd won in their FB contest), at La Vogue.

Relaxing foot spa before the treatment. *bliss*

The skin peeling didn't cause any skin irritation or whatsoever. My skin had become clearer, brighter & more radiant after the pampering facial treatment.

The therapist was really nice and friendly. No hard-selling involved.

She even gave me discount vouchers ($50 x 2). Let me know if you'll like to have the voucher.

Love this uber tasty giant seaweed! *YUMS* :d~

My sis friend got it from Korea!

My 1st time @ Piquenique.

This cup sure looks familiar... *scroll up*

Scrambled eggs with toast.

Scrambled eggs with english muffins.

Potatoes, sausages, mushrooms, etc.

I forgot to take a pic of my sausage bun with blue cheese & fries... =.=zzz

The sausage was super normal kind... so disappointed...

The blue cheese taste was super strong... overwhelming in fact!

I like the fries though... But anyway, I don't think I'll go there again...

Suki-ya steamboat lunch buffet.

Not much variety. Love the thinly sliced meat (pork, beef, chicken)!

Sukiyaki soup base - sweet, which I don't really like. Kimchi soup base - no kimchi taste!

Cheesy meatball! Super duper niceee! A must-try :d~ *drool*

In the past, magazines used to have these fragrance-scented ads... whereby you "lift" the strip up to sniff the fragrance...

Nostalgic much.

Have you bought the latest issue of CLEO? Not a fan of Selena Gomez...

Love the beauty content in the mag though!

My sis came back from a long US trip... Will feature her beauty hauls in another post (not much, according to her)...

Quite a fair bit, I would say.

Certainly not mine.

MINE! :D~

"Would you bear to eat this?"

Ending my random posts with my new eye-candies

Gong Yoo - "Coffee Prince"

He's got a nice bod :p

Almost all Korean stars have nice bods... Tall, at least 1.8m! Small eyes - major ! hehehe~

Park Shi Hoo - "Prosecutor Princess"

The K-drama that Chantana had asked me to watch.. b'coz I look like the female lead (Kim So Yeon)... more of the behavior, thinking... definitely not looks... She so skinny and pretty! Well, I finished watching! Nice show, I like (:

I keep aiyo-ing at her actions, behavior and thinking... very naive and such... Her character reminds me of ME!

The ending was good, I like! Heh. Ahh.. I like Park Shi Hoo's charming smile...

Review: Burt's Bees Beewax Lipbalm (Tin)

Burt's Bees make awesome lipbalms, which come in tubes and tins. I actually favor the tin version more.

I bought this Burt's Bees Beewax Lipbalm (Tin) @ Sephora ION.

Net wt: 0.30oz / 8.5g

I love the fact that it contains my favorite ingredient - peppermint oil! Smells just like refreshing mints -> double-! Has a nice tingling sensation when applied on my lips -> double-!

A rather "skinny-looking" bee :x

Looks like candle-wax at 1st glance? :p

When I first used this, I swirled my clean middle finger to pick up the (solid) content. Very little was picked up, thus I scraped some using the back of my clean nails (and smeared this all over my lips). This works better for me :D

Gives a natural sheen to the lips, not overly shiny kind. Sits comfortably on my lips, with no greasy feeling.

It is very moisturizing. The moisturizing effect stays on even after an hour later. Some lipbalms do need to reapply every now & then, definitely not this.

I find that it relieves my chapped lips effectively (refer to image above).

I also like to apply this liberally on my lips before I sleep, and wake up with (moisturized) healthier-looking lips. This is my favoritest lipbalm as of now. A reasonably priced lip care product. Definitely will repurchase this. Hope this review helps!

Review/Lip Swatch: Chanel Aqualumière Gloss 67 Diamond Rose

There I was, "shopping" my stash. In this post, I'm gonna feature Chanel Aqualumière Gloss 67 Diamond Rose (one of my favorite pink lipglosses).

"AQUALUMIÈRE GLOSS surprises you with its wonderfully soft texture and exceptional glide-on quality. Its magical formula, paired with a supple and precise artist’s brush, provides ultimate comfort while perfectly defining your lips. Your smile is embellished with a dazzling shine. Vibrant and sheer shades for naturally irresistible lips."

***Extracted from Chanel website***

The lipgloss is sheer (fairly-pigmented) and ultra-shiny. I love that it's 100% unscented, which I really appreciate much!

I own a few Chanel glosses, most of which are Glossimers. Glossimers come with doe-foot applicator, while Aqualumière glosses come with a soft brush applicator. I don't have a preference; both apply just as well.

Btw, Aqualumière glosses are not as shimmery as Glossimers. Glossimers are super ultra-shimmery, at least 3x more?

The color itself is a light frosty pink, which complemented my fair-medium skin tone (NC/NW-20).

Goes on smooth on my lips, with zero sticky feeling! It can be layered on top of lipsticks, for a shinier finish.

The sheen and pink/blue micro-shimmers are really pretty. Very moisturizing and somehow diminishes the dryness of my lips :D

Ooo.. My lips look so plump and luscious

Well, the lasting power is not as long as Glossimers. That doesn't really bother me. Just need to re-apply every 2 hours? Expensive ($38 if I'm not wrong), but worth every penny (:

Sponsored Review: Mentholatum Lip Ice Sheer Color Lip Moisturizers (Strawberry & Shimmer)

Color-changeable lip balms? Mentholatum Lip Ice Sheer Color Lip Moisturizers that is. My 1st Lip Ice purchase was during my secondary school days (more than a decade ago!).

I was provided with the Strawberry & Shimmer variants to review. Thanks TSS & Lip Ice (Sg)!

FYI, there's the Fragrance Free variant if you prefer unscented, non-shimmery lip balm.

Strawberry

It has a slightly strong strawberry scent, which is pleasant nevertheless. Reminds me of Meiji Strawberry Milk! :d~

My bottom lips were rather dry at the point of swatching. Just a pretty bright pink hue on my lips, with no shimmers.

Shimmer

Ooo I'm more intrigued by this Shimmer one! It just looks alot prettier?!

See those medium pink shimmer bits? They're really fine, not chunky at all.

Gives a subtle shimmer finish to my lips.

Here's a LOTD to show how the Shimmer looks on me.

There isn't much difference between 'em, except for the shimmer part. Both look almost the same as shown from the photo above. I applied 2 coats evenly on both sides. FYI, the lip swatches are taken on different days.

These lip moisturizers do feel a wee bit oily on the lips. That don't really bother me as they help moisturize my lips and (most importantly) prevent me from licking 'em!

Hate the fact that my lips are constantly dry even though I drink lots of water daily AND apply lip balm frequently.

The color is buildable. If you want really bright pink lips, just apply the lip balms liberally will do. Oh they act as a lipstain as well. The color pretty much stays on even after a meal!

Overall, I'm very much in love with Shimmer AND the scent of the Strawberry one. How about a 2-in-1? Strawberry Shimmer sounds awesome?! If you are a pink lover like me, you'll love these to bits!

Retails for $7.50 each. Available in Watsons.
