Vichy Bi-White Med

Thanks to Herine, I got to attend Vichy Bi-White Med event held at Paris Baguette.

Prior this event, I did try several products from Vichy, the Normaderm range to be specific... and also their Thermal Spa Water. My 1st Vichy event, by the way.

At the event, we were introduced to Vichy Bi-White Med, a skincare range that deeply whitens and detoxifies. Even sensitive skin like mine can use! Well, it contains Thermal Spa Water (known to be soothing and fortifying). Most importantly, it is hypoallergenic, paraben-free and non comedogenic! Kudos to that!

Vichy Bi-White Med Deep Corrective Whitening Essence ($82) targets flaws like:

√ dark spots
√ dull complexion
√ yellow skin tone
√ irregular skin texture
√ red patches
√ dryness patches

Deep Cell-Whitening
  • depigments cells deeper in the epidermis

DRM-White
  • targets melanin in even deeper skin layers

It has a lightweight consistency, which is easy to spread on the skin and gets absorbed real fast. The skin is well hydrated, plump and smooth thereafter. No sticky or greasy feel at all.

With regular use, the complexion becomes more even, significantly brighter and fairer. Brown spots are visibly reduced, revealing flawless transparency and luminosity from deep within.

Vichy Bi-White Med Whitening Replumping Gel Cream ($59) features an exclusive 24H moisturizing formula combining:

  • Whitening breakthough DRM-White associated with Deep Cell-Whitening to illuminate skin from the inside
  • Purifying Peony to detoxify skin and free it from flaws (love the soothing floral scent!)

It targets dullness, complexion flaws and dehydration. The not-too-rich gel-cream consistency makes it perfect for day use. The skin is well hydrated, radiantly plumped, soft and smooth thereafter.

With regular use, intense flawless luminosity is unveiled. No more dull-looking skin. The complexion looks more transparent and radiant than before.

We were also introduced to the Vichy Bi-White Med Night Whitening Renewing Sleeping Cream ($69) that is specially formulated to infuse skin with a high dose of vitamin Cg and balance oils to protect the skin against external aggressions even when you are asleep!

I shall spam the rest of this post with photos of the yummilicious food (mainly desserts) and beverage(s) served at Paris Baguette :X

Let the photos do the talking

And, we were also given these cute hp charm(s). Mine was the starry one but I exchanged with Herine for the heart locket

Love this limited edition pink metallic tin box

Vichy can be found at Guardian, Watsons, and Unity pharmacies.

Exclusive Rewards & Privileges for CLUB313 Members

CLUB313 is a loyalty programme by 313@somerset, which promises to truly engage and deliver rewarding experiences for its top shoppers.

Last Tue, I was invited to a private media preview to find out how it feels like to be a CLUB313 member. All of these were unveiled through a collage of beautifully designed booths, showcasing bespoke fashion, beauty and food essentials.

First up, there was an exclusive members only “Horoscope Night” in partnership with ELLE magazine. 20 pre-selected CLUB313 members and their friends were treated to a unique Chinese zodiac video screening plus a free tarot/gemstone reading session.

Next, we proceeded to the wine appreciation session by the Straits Wine Company

The sushi-making demonstration by 313’s very own umisushi chef was pretty interesting.

These sushis were too cute to be eaten! California maki tasted the best, though it was not as cute. Don't judge a sushi by its appearance :D

There were 2 beauty booths:

  • Etude House - eye makeup tips & makeover
  • Summer Nail Salon - nail art tutorials (not pictured)

Last but not least, we got to preview the limited-edition sneakers collection from L.E. Way.

Introducing Nicole by OPI

For the uninitiated, Nicole by OPI is not new in the market. It was launched back in 2007.

Nicole by OPI is known as the sister brand of OPI, which targets the younger market. It offers a salon-quality range of bold, fashion-forward nail lacquers. The brand’s heritage is based in OPI’s well-established foundation of excellence in both color and technology, providing premium products to a broad range of consumers looking for trendsetting nail lacquers.

I stumbled across this brand when it had its 1st celebrity collaboration featuring lacquers inspired by Justin Bieber. We all know him and his ever growing die-hard fans (and haters :x). The line’s initial run of 1 million bottles were sold out within less than 2 months - the power of JB! And not to mention, this number was tripled to meet consumer demand. WOW!

Following the successful launch of JBNicole by OPI went on to launch Kardashian Kolor. In January 2013, the brand released another 2 exciting new collections - Selena Gomez and ABC’s Modern Family

Do you know...

There are over 65 Nicole by OPI shades available internationally... AND over 120 shades in the US and Canada! In Singapore, there are 30 shades available at Watsons (retails for $12.90 each).

Last month, I attended their very 1st media launch event, held at Made by Lauren Jasmine (a fashion boutique cum cafe). Thank you, Adda & Leen (Touch Comm) for the invite!

IT'S ALL ABOUT THE COLOR

The place was filled with balloons, lots of them! Kudos to them for the lovely setup (:

A basketful of nail polishes for us to try on!

These 4 stood out to me instantly, especially the one with pink hearts!

From left to right:
  • Love Your Life
  • Look At Me, Look At Me
  • If The Blue Fits...
  • Kardashing Through The Snow

The pink, red shades...

The cooler shades...

The bold shades...

Hmm... I didn't manage to take photos of all the available shades. You can always visit the nearest Watsons store to check 'em out. Speaking of which, the nail colors look far more beautiful IRL! My photos are not doing them justice, seriously.

Our tummies were happily filled up with delectable pastries and desserts :d~

At the end of the event, we got to choose 10 shades. After much deliberation, here's my not-so-colorful "color wheel".

  • A Gold Winter's Night
  • Kardashing Through The Snow
  • Deck The Dolls
  • If The Blue Fits...
  • Yellow It's Me
  • Love Your Life
  • Count On Me
  • Purple Yourself Together
  • Just Busta Mauve
  • Look At Me, Look At Me

For a start, I shall feature my favoritest of the lot - Love Your Life. It won many hearts at the event!

Love Your Life is a clear-based nail polish with holographic micro-glitter bits and pretty pink hearts. The base is not thick or gel-like, quite liquidy actually. Hence, it is not that easy to get the hearts out. With that, I have to slightly tilt the bottle to the horizontal position to get the hearts out. Anyway, it applies smoothly and dries pretty fast (even without using Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat).

The other nail products used:

  • Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure 150 Angel Wings (iridescent shimmery white)
  • SpaRitual Clarity (a clear base, packed with silver and pink glitters)

That's all. Will be featuring the other nail polishes in separate post(s). Have a great weekend!

Media Event: 313@somerset Christmas Light Show

Remember I mentioned about the Christmas Light Show event brought to you by 313@somerset

At the media event, I got to experience the preview of the 1st ever Christmas tree light show where a traditional Christmas tree was transformed into a canvas, presenting a brilliant illustration of colors via the innovative use of light projections.

There was also musical performance (Christmas carols) by an acapella group and another band (not pictured).

Here's a colorful caricature of me. Nice? :D

***image credits to 313@somerset FB Page***

I totally missed out on this! There was this light painting booth where Charlie Lim (Singapore's renowned local photographer) introduce his very own technique of light art into designing Christmas cards for 313 shoppers.

Yummy cocktails and canapes were served.

Beer, all mine (nah~ just kidding!)

To conclude the evening, a sumptuous dinner was served at Brotzeit German Bier Bar & Restaurant.

Me, happily drinking :P

Fresh greens were served. Being a meat lover, I was looking forward to the mains :x Despite that, I enjoyed the salad, especially the mashed potato hidden within.

The thin crust meat-laden pizza tasted absolutely divine albeit a lil' oily. It was kinda spicy for some, but it was okay for my tastebuds :d~ *YUMMY*

I was sharing my Brotzeit dining experience with the other bloggers, telling them how tasty (and expensive) the sausages and pork knuckles are. The next moment, the huge sausage platter came...

Then, the crispy pork knuckles arrived thereafter.

Too happy for words! xD Ahh... I felt so guilty after eating so much oily stuff... not (lol) :x

We were expecting something chocolatey for dessert... *wish not granted* >.<~~

Hmm... I had another beer, which tasted lemony. Something refreshing, me like!

Okay, I shall end here for now. Thank you Amanda (Havas Worldwide Siren) for the invite! And, thank you for reading!
