Friends, Itacho Sushi & LOTD: Green Again

No, I'm not wearing a wig here. This photo was taken last year when I was still having long hair. Do you miss my long hair ? :p

It has been sometime since we took photo(s) together but we do meet up regularly. I love going JB with her and Xianglin, eat, shop, do hair/nails. And, we always go there by bus, not car. It's always a whole day affair; tiring but super fun ! It's always fun to hang out with 'em since they ain't fussy and definitely not those who've serious "princess sickness". TSK

 

And so, after not meeting Serene for a month or so, we finally met up for dinner and shopping. A very fruitful day indeed :p Haven't been meeting Xianglin for months ! Nvm, gonna meet her soon at the end of this month (:

I intro-ed her to Itacho Sushi (Orchard Ion), my favorite place for sushi and sashimi. 1st up, this is a die-die must order dish if you're into salmon. Each person is limited to order 4 pieces @ $0.40 each, with the usual price being $0.80. The taste is freaking AWESOME and it's SOOO CHEAP ! Ok, this is the cheapest as it can get. The rest of the other sushi-s are kinda EX or very EX. She is lovin' these grilled salmon with soy sauce sushi-s as much as I do :D

Fresh salmon sushi ♥, raw prawn sushi ♥, grilled salmon belly sushi ♥. Hmm I don't like the taste of raw prawns, Chantana loves 'em -.-

California maki is YUMMY !

Curry lobster tamago (again) ! A bit too much for us though the portion is not very big. Kinda sweet, ya know.

Aww how can I not order salmon belly sashimi ? They are FATTY & YUMMY :d~

Grilled pork sushi-s. Not nice this time, so disappointed. The meat was too tough !

Tempura prawn sushi (green tea sea-salt). $1.70 which (to me) is EX.

Ooo.. it was an unexpected treat from her ! *muacks* ♥

Mini Pre-Birthday Celebration + LOTD: Jaded

It was a mini pre-birthday celebration at a restaurant/bar, located at Boat Quay.

The Dallas Cheesecake. An all-time classic favourite. Cheesecake topped with fresh strawberries and sauce. $10, on the house btw.

And so, we were at Dallas.

Chocolate Brownie. Moist chocolate brownie with a big luscious scoop of vanilla ice cream. $10. I thought I tasted rum =.= Oh well, the ice-cream was de-li-cious :d~

I didn't really like the strawberry margarita. The one at Cafe Iguana is seriously heavenly and I love happy hour deals ! Best margarita I've had so far !

We had the Dallas Platter. A combination of Dallas wings, chicken and cheese quesedillas, salt & pepper calamari. $30 for 4 pax.

Cheese quesedillas were pretty good. My 1st time eating these. There's salsa sauce, the greenish thingy is avocado sauce and dunno-what sauce x:

Salt & pepper calamari tasted good but personally, I think Modesto's ones tasted better.

Hmm the chicken wings look rather normal but in fact, they tasted much better than I expected. Looks are deceiving eh.

Baby Back Berry (Full Rack) $32. Slowly braised pork ribs served with red cabbage slaw and potato wedges.

Not bad. The meat was soft and tender. I must really say that I do love the berry sauce, interesting mix of sweet and savoury taste :d~ The portion was just right for us.

Classic Beer Battered Fish and Chips. $23. Slices of white fish dipped in beer batter and fried to golden brown. Served with red cabbage slaw and Dallas Fries. Very normal, didn't WOW me at all.

Overall, a rather good place to chill and relax.

My LOTD using L'oreal Chrome Intensity Eye Palette (Timeless Green). And, did you actually notice the change in my hair color ? Yes, black now.

I used the white as the base, green on the eyelid, black on the outer eyelid. Black and brown to fill my brows :p
