Dip Dye Short Hair

It was 6 weeks of crazy attention-seeking blue hair. Though the royal blue (hair color) had faded to a much lighter hue, people still have nothing but compliments for my unique hair color. 


As much as I love the blues, it was time to say goodbye...

BYE-BYEEE~


And so, here's how my faded blue hair looks... with the black roots showing. It seemed that my hair is not growing out fast yea? Hmm...

Anyway, I showed Chisato the hair color I wanted (not the hairstyle).

I am now trying my best to grow out my fringe and hair. That's why I have not had my hair cut for close to 4 months already.


To achieve my desired ash brown color, I had to go through one-time bleaching to get rid of the blue dye.


After the bleaching, the blue part became light pastel green and the purple streaks became neon pink! What a funky combination! I was really fascinated when I saw this interim hair color mix. Nice right? heehee~ :P

They did the dip dye part (indigo) first...


... then the base (ash brown). Ooo... looks like squid ink pasta? :X


After 3 hours, here's my dip dye hair color (dark ash brown + indigo)! I was really happy with the results... see my satisfied face :P

Well, my base hair color was quite dark, but not black. Any lighter, the color would turn out weird due to my previous blue hair. I was told that after few times of shampooing, my hair color will gradually fade to a lighter shade of ash brown. It has been almost 2 weeks since I did my hair color. Now, my hair looks something like Alice's! Nice right?! 

I will like to take this opportunity to thank these two lovely ladies (Chisato & Alice) for creating the dip dye effect I want! Thank you so much ♥

I'm Back to Basics!

Last month, I decided to forgo loud colors on my hair. It was a wise decision after all.

It was an obvious bad-bad hair day for me. I need to do something to my hair...

Me, at Shunji Matsuo 313 (my hair sponsor), for my much needed hair fix.

I told Caely that I wanted light ash brown hair color plus a hair trim. No (hair) bangs for me this time. The session ended with their latest Curement Herbal (organic hair) treatment.

The organic hair treatment was indeed a pampering treat. Just look at my hair, that healthy shine! Not only that, I could run my fingers through my hair with absolute ease. My hair was that smooth and silky :P

Hair Color by Caely: Ash Brown + Pastel Blue & Green

I love trying different hair colors. It's quite fun, seeing fun colors on my hair instead of the usual browns. I wanted a color that I've never tried before, which is blue (one of my lucky colors). 

Caely asked what color(s) I want and I told her 'a mix of blue & purple'. She suggested blue & green, which is a better color contrast. 

I like how my hair color turned out in the end - ash brown with patches of pastel blue & green at the sides. Only the pastel blue & green parts are bleached first, to bring out the colors. 

Love the alternate blues and greens!

This side is more of an ombre feel. Alternate two-toned locks, which brings attention to the longer side of the asymmetrical bob.

This hair color combination is loud enough for me. I can't imagine going fully blue & green :S

Anyway, it has been almost a month already. I'm thinking of doing a new hair color before my birthday next week... most likely is lavender ash! :P
