RoC Soft Smoothing Scrub

I love using facial scrubs. However, I find that most are pretty harsh on the skin. For the past few months, I've been using RoC Soft Smoothing Scrub, which is really gentle yet effective. I use it weekly, 2 to 3 times at most. Excessive exfoliating will cause skin irritation and dry out the skin.

RoC Soft Smoothing Scrub comes in a fuss-free plastic squeeze tube, which contains 125ml of product. Retails for $30.

On the tube, it says,

"Softly cleanses and purifies the skin, thanks to its micro exfoliating beads, to brighten up your complexion. Perfectly cleansed, your skin is smoothed, softened and more radiant. Use 2 or 3 times a week. Rinse with water. Should eye contact occur, rinse well.

FORMULATED TO MINIMISE RISK OF ALLERGIES."

The ingredients are as shown in the image above.

I like its scent, something powdery floral. As you can see, it is a (soft) creamy scrub, containing beads of 2 different sizes. These pretty pink beads provide efficient and mild exfoliation. And, they don't feel harsh on the skin at all.

When in contact with water, it quickly forms into a creamy gel texture which is easy to spread on the skin. It does foam a little, very-very little in fact. It gets rid of dead skin cells effectively. I'm glad that my skin does not feel tight after exfoliating, and skincare always gets better absorbed by my skin thereafter. True to its name, my skin feels soft and smooth. Not to mention, healthy and radiant looking!

I don't have any skin irritation issues using this so far. This is unlike some facial scrubs, which make the skin look all red and irritated. This is great for all skin types. If you've sensitive skin, this IS the scrub for you - very soft AND mild!

RoC Soft Smoothing Scrub is available at selected Watsons, Guardian, Nishino Shaw House and Essential pharmacy.

Hope my review helps. Thank you for reading!

Introducing RoC Soft Smoothing Scrub

Thanks to the micro-exfoliating beads that is incorporated into its rich creamy gel texture, RoC Soft Smoothing Scrub softly cleanses, unclogs and purifies the skin. Combining soft scrub beads and softening clay, the exfoliating action is gentle enough for all skin types, even sensitive skin.

The high level of glycerin present in the formula hydrates the skin while scrubbing away the dead skin cells. This leaves the skin well moisturized sans the tight feeling one gets after cleansing. Without the barrier of dead skin cells on the skin surface, the skin can now absorb the maximum nutrients of skincare effectively.

Scrub your skin regularly to achieve clean and smooth skin, with a healthy radiant glow!

Gentle beads to protect skin

RoC Soft Smoothing Scrub combines 2 different beads' size to provide efficient and mild exfoliation. It consists of spherical pink soft beads that comes in irregular shapes with angles and ridges to effectively scrub away dead skin cells. These beads are made with Polythene that is gentle and soft enough to effectively scrub but yet prevent scratches or lesions to your skin.

Natural Clay absorbs the skin's unwanted

Bentonite, a natural clay, has a high absorption capacity that can easily suck out excess grease and dirt from the skin surface. When water is added, it quickly forms into a creamy gel texture which allows easy spreading on the skin.

Usage: Use twice or thrice a week after makeup removal or normal cleansing. Rinse well with water.

Retail Price: $30 (125ml)

Available at selected Watsons, Guardian, Nishino Shaw House and Essential pharmacy from May 2012.

The World's First Electro-Stimulation Skincare - RoC® Sublime Energy™ [plus Giveaway!]

French anti-ageing skincare expert RoC launches Sublime Energy™ - the world's first topical cream to create imperceptible micro-currents and jack up the rejuvenating, repairing and renewing process to achieve youthful skin.

I had the chance to experience this innovative product, at their debut bloggers' event. Thanks RoC Singapore & Elfaine (EK Media Pte Ltd) for the invite!

Inspired by electro-stimulation technology, RoC® Sublime Energy™ instantly recreates thousands of imperceptible micro-currents to power skin's natural repair systems. The secret lies in its E-PULSE™ Skin Electro-Stimulation Technology.

STATION 1: AMAZING LIVING ORGANISMS

What do they have in common?

They are able to regenerate its body parts.

Station 2: THE MYSTERY OF THE PLASMA BALL

Why do you attract streams towards yourself?

The human body is a good conductor of electricity. When you touch the ball, the energy is actually using you as an escape route.

STATION 3: THE INCREDIBLE HUMAN BODY

What directs these functions in our body?

Body currents (Bioelectricity) is very important for normal bodily functions, including skin health.

Our body is a giant battery. Since the day you were born, it uses bioelectricity as an electrical signaling system to optimize communication between cells. When cells actively 'communicate' with each other, skin repairs itself to stay radiant, youthful and baby-smooth.

However, as we age, these bioelectric signals between cells diminish, leading to the reduced production of essential proteins such as collagen and elastin. That's when signs of ageing start creeping up on us.

RoC's E-PULSE™ Skin Electro-Stimulation Technology leverages on Johnson & Johnson Consumer Companies' CYTOMIMIC technology*, a patented formulation that combines essential minerals to deliver bioelectric signals that mimic the skin's own signals.

*5 years of research, 10 patents, clinical and safety tests on over 1,000 subjects over 2.5½ years.

The RoC® Sublime Energy™ line consists of skincare for DAY, NIGHT & EYE. All require a special 2-step application process.

RoC® Sublime Energy™ DAY ($92)

Minimizes fine lines and wrinkles, while brightening skin and boosting radiance. Contains SPF20.

RoC® Sublime Energy™ NIGHT ($95)

Reduces the appearance of wrinkles, sagging skin and brown spots. Evens out skin tone. Lifts facial contours and promotes softer, smoother & firmer skin.

RoC® Sublime Energy™ EYE ($75) - STAR PRODUCT!

Noticeably improves the appearance of dark circles and puffiness. Regular use will visibly reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and crow's feet, hence brighter and younger-looking eye area.

In a clinical evaluation on 34 subjects, it was found that immediately upon application, there's improvement in the appearance of puffiness >> 57%, wrinkles >> 36%, eye bags >> 33%, dark circles >> 21%.

Their lightweight luxurious texture makes 'em an absolute pleasure to apply!

The grey E-PULSE™ concentrate is a silicone base, which does not get absorbed into skin. When activated by moisture, these energized micro-particles act as miniature batteries that help jumpstart healthy skin functions. A continuous low-intensity flow of micro-currents is created, which fuels cell-to-cell communication to increase the production of collagen and elastin. Hence, it supercharges the skin's renewal process to reveal visible results.
