Food For Thought? ♥

Food For Thought, anyone?

I went to the branch located at Queens St one fine morning, just to have pancake breakfast. Had a hard time finding the place though. Thanks to my beloved iPhone, I managed to find the place afterall. Ahh I simply can't live without iPhone seriously. Waiting for iPhone 5 to be launched :p

It was quite a cosy place. Not very noisy and crowded, prolly b'coz it was a weekday morning. I was tweeting away while waiting for my pancakes to be served. Oh, I ordered Pancakes with Mixed Berries. No coffee/tea, just warm water for me (: And btw, all pancakes are served with Fresh Cream & Gula Melaka Syrup. I waited for about 15mins?

Finally, my breakfast came! Looking real good eh. Using my iPhone, I twitpic-ed this. I must say, it was a really huge serving. I was quite full just finishing almost half of this. To think I wanted to order additional Garlic Mushrooms -.-

It was a nice combination of sweet (gula melaka syrup) and sour (mixed berries). FFT's pancakes tasted totally different from Cedele's. The outlook is different. Think I still prefer the latter as I thought the taste was just right, not too overwhelming in a sense. I do like FFT's just that the taste is too "heavy" IMO. Hmm I like the taste of fresh cream very much :x

Hmm I never really tried orange on my nails before as orange is not really my kinda color. But hey, this is quite a friendly-looking pastel orange. I'll definitely paint 'em on my nails for a bright summer look!

A Fun Messy Affair; Depotting NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil 604 Milk

Depotting was fun yet real messy. Well, I'll definitely do it for my other NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencils as well as the Glitter Mania ones. Much easier for me to use seriously :D

What you'll need:

• empty 5g containers (I'm using a random container)
• hairdryer
• something to hold the pencil eg. plier
• anti-slip mat

 

Instructions:

• Place the 5g container on the anti-slip mat to prevent container from moving. If not, it'll be super messy.
• Hold the pencil, with the tip facing downwards (contents will melt directly into the container) with the plier (no direct contact with the hot pencil).
• Take the hairdryer and start blowing at the pencil. I get really excited seeing the melting process LOL xD
• Wait for the contents to melt into the pot. It'll take around 5mins or so. Hands get really tired.
• To make sure all contents are emptied, just blow into the pencil and you should be hearing a hollow sound.
• Pls do not touch the container as it's really hot and the hot contents might spill onto your hands.
• Just wait another 5mins for the contents to cool down and solidify. Done!

Fun-filled Day & LOTD: Moss Green

Late lunch (@ 313 food court. I had bak kut teh, my brunch btw), shop around, dessert (@ Cold Stone Creamery), movie (Sucker Punch which sucks, at least to me) and lastly, SUPPER (@ Xin Wang Hong Kong Café)!

Dessert time @ Cold Stone Creamery. I wasn't really WOW-ed over this. The same goes for 'em. We find it too sweet overall. Nothing fantastic I guess. Uh disappointed much. Hmm prolly I shall try other Signature Creations next time.
