Illamasqua: Galaxy Nails Video Tutorial

***Credits to Illamasqua.com for the image, video tutorial & info.***

To create these gorgeous galaxy-inspired nails, all you need is:- a make-up sponge, a pair of tweezers and Illamasqua Nail Varnish [GammaLoad, Phallic, Rare & Lament].

Watch this simple how-to video tutorial and create these stunning galaxy nails.

When I saw Lynn's super-gorgeous galaxy nails, I was amazed. I personally think they look nicer than Illamasqua version? Got 3 different kinds somemore. Seems pretty easy. I'll try to replicate 'em over the weekend (hope mine turns out as pretty... provided I'm not lazy *ahems*

LOTD: Evil Red (feat. Illamasqua Medium Pencil in Severe)

Red + Black; the power combi that gives off the evil vibe.

I use the shimmery pale peachy beige shade from KATE Deep Eyes GY-1 as the overall base color. Using Illamasqua Medium Pencil in Severe, I line the upper and lower lashline. Then, I apply the shimmery black plus shimmery gray shades from KATE Deep Eyes GY-1 over the lid area (without overlapping the lined area). I apply the same shades onto the outer 1/3 of the lower lashline, blending inwards. For a wide eye look, extend the eye colors beyond both the upper and lower lashlines.

Next, apply the shimmery taupe over the inner lid area (blending lightly over the eye contour). For the lashes, I apply K-Palette Real Lasting Volume Mascara 01 Jet Black for both my upper and lower lashes. Lastly, I use the 100% Handmade Lashes (WC16) from Fleur Blossom. The same ones I used in the LOTD HERE.

*Note: Products highlighted are provided by beauty company for review purpose.

Instead of shading powder, I dust a dark red eyeshadow lightly onto the outer contours of nose.

On my lips, Illamasqua Medium Pencil in Severe again! As for cheeks, I brush on Illamasqua Blush (Kiss) lightly.

Revel in the drama of your individuality. Use the creamy Illamasqua Medium Pencil to create sultry eyes and sensuous lips. Designed to glide over skin and create a long-lasting, colour-true finish. Write a different story with every look.

Here's the swatch of Severe...

A gorgeous deep wine red.

I like the texture; creamy and soft. It doesn't tug the skin. It does take a bit of effort to apply on lips though. It's worth a mention that it isn't drying on my lips. The color payoff is great. Truly a bold color, for both eyes and lips. Well, I can see myself going out wearing this color someday (soon). Just my thoughts, since this is my 1st time using it.

That's all for now. Thanks for looking!

Collective Haul: Addictive ASOS-ing

Been ASOS-ing alot this year, especially so when the site started having free delivery worldwide with no minimum purchase. I get tempted to checkout some stuff (almost) everytime without fail.

Ok, gonna show y'all my collective haul so far.. *take a deep breath*

For accessories wise, I got myself a Lipsy Multi Row Link Charm NecklaceRiver Island Padlock And Key Stud Earrings. I love my blings, silver & gold. Ain't they pretty? (:

Imperial Treasure Super Peking Duck + LOTD: Lashes Aplenty

Celebrated ah mei's 22nd birthday @ Imperial Treasure Super Peking Duck (Paragon) - 26.06.2011. Our 1st time dining there and it was an awesome "ducky" experience!

Hot chinese tea to wash the oiliness down.

Highlight-of-the-day: none other than.. the Peking Duck!

Relish every bite!

Crispy juicy peking duck skin dipped in sugar.. *drools*

Succulent pieces of nicely cut peking duck meat.. :d~

Traditionally served with mandarin pancakes and green onions, drizzled with tangy hoisin sauce.

Ordered assorted dim sum, the usual ones like custard paus, fried prawn dumplings, har gau, siew mai, char siew baked pastries, etc.

More peking duck meat! Imagine only 3 of us finishing the whole peking duck plus the dim sums! We can really eat uh.. :x

Scallop rice rolls.

The remaining duck meat stir-fried with my all-time-favorite ee fu mian. The total bill was a whopping $130ish!

*act shy* :s

the-super-happy-birthday-gal :B

Funny camwhoring snippets.

Bought mini cakes from a cake shop at Mandarin Gallery.

The service sucks big time but the cakes were pretty tasty though.

LOTD: Icy Glamour

My LOTD for the Kanebo Freshel Bloggers' Event.

For this LOTD, I'd used only the eyeshadows from the Majolica Majorca Midnight Dresser Palette #11 Glamorous Makeup Dresser (Ltd Ed X'mas 2009). Had gotten this during the Shiseido Sale last year for $5 (?). I wasn't impressed with the cardboard packaging and definitely would not wanna pay full price for it. I do appreciate that the ltd ed collection palettes (in future) will have better sturdier packaging. The shimmery silver and charcoal grey e/s colors are rather sheer and they crease on me (as shown above). FYI, I didn't use any primer prior e/s application.

Eyes:

  • Majolica Majorca Customize Sword Cut BR771 - DEFINE BROWS
  • Majolica Majorca Midnight Dresser Palette #11 Glamorous Makeup Dresser (Ltd Ed X'mas 2009) - EYE COLOR
  • Lunasol Nature Color Eyes 04 Nature Beige - FOR HIGHLIGHT
  • Make Up For Ever Mini Black Eyeliner (Ltd Ed Aqua Eyes Collection Set) - DEFINE EYES
  • Kiss Me Heroine Make Volume & Curl Mascara - VOLUMIZE LASHES

Face:

  • Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation No.51 Light Vanilla - EVEN COMPLEXION
  • Tony & Tina Herbal Environmental Protector Pressed Powder (Translucent) - SET FOUNDATION
  • Illamasqua Blush (Kiss) - SCULPT CHEEKS
