The Body Shop Moisture White Shiso BB Serum Inside

This serum-infused BB Cream is the new addition to The Body Shop Moisture White Shiso range. Shiso (herb), is a member of the mint/basil family. It is believed to reduce early melanin-making signals for brighter, more luminous skin.

The Body Shop Moisture White Shiso BB Serum Inside is your super-charged multi-tasker. It delivers superior skincare benefits that instantly brightens, corrects, protects and cares for your complexion. What's more, it has a lightweight, smooth texture that makes application a breeze.

It has an easy-to-use pump dispenser for a no-mess application.

It has a slight refreshing scent... aloe vera perhaps?

It is only available in 1 shade, a radiant beige, specially developed to suit most Asian skin tones (fair to medium).

"The results are so noticeable that 71% of Asian women who tried it saw instantly fairer skin upon application."

Yes, I am one of them.

The Body Shop Moisture White Shiso BB Serum Inside contains ingredients from their best-selling serum to deliver 8 benefits (listed in the image above), in every application.

How to use?
Use The Body Shop Moisture White Shiso BB Serum Inside as the final step of your morning skincare routine. Apply with your fingers, gently blending over the face with small circular movements.

For enhanced brightening benefits, use this BB Cream together with their Moisture White Shiso Whitening Serum.

I have been using Moisture White Shiso BB Serum Inside for 6 weeks, though not on a daily basis. For reference, my skin tone is fair medium.

This beige-tone BB Cream has a very-very slight tinge of grey, which leaves an initial white cast. Like most BB Creams I've tried and tested, the white cast disappears shortly and leaves my skin looking naturally radiant.

For months, my skin has been plagued by breakouts and inflammation. I find that this BB Cream not only provides adequate coverage for the spots, it also soothes the redness. And, I really like that it evens out my skin tone very well.

Since it is serum-infused and contains UV protection (SPF PA +++), I usually skip moisturizer and sunblock. I also skip concealer sometimes, since the coverage is decent. To set the BB Cream, I like to use The Body Shop All In One Face Base 03. They complement each other well, giving a natural finish.

Here's a full makeup look, photographed more than 6 hours later. I think I still look okay, not too haggard. In terms of oil-control, I would rate it average. I find the need to blot with tissue paper, after about 3 hours or so.

Overall, I really enjoy using Moisture White Shiso BB Serum Inside for its effective brightening benefits. If you are interested to get this BB Cream. It is available from 4 March 2013 onwards, and retails for $39.90.

That will be all for now. Hope my review helps. Thank you for reading!
