Ahh.. This is sooo cuteee! :3

***Credits to Kevin老師 FB page for the above image.***

Most of the times, we don't see things as they are.. We see them as we are.. We tend to intepret the world in our own ways.. We judge others by their behavior..

Let's look at the world upside down.. Shall we? (:

SWATCH-FEST: Urban Decay 24/7 Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner

The newest addition to our 24/7 franchise is available in a veritable rainbow of long-lasting, highly-pigmented, WATERPROOF color options – shades ranging from matte to glossy to shimmery! (And why would you only buy one? Try them all!) Use the ultra-fine brush tip to create lines that are razor-thin or thick, even and bold. The brush is also short and easy to control, making it ideal for liquid liner newbies. The slim pens are convenient – go ahead and pack ‘em all into your makeup bag – and are color-matched to each shade.

I didn't get the swatch of Siren as the tester was used up. Retrograde was almost used up, hence the faint swatch as shown.

All the colors are incredibly beautiful. The swatches here don't do them justice seriously. My picks will be Radium, Retrograde, Revolver if you love shimmery shades like I do.. :D

Sigma Brush Giveaway! (feat. Flat Top Synthetic Kabuki - F80) [CLOSED]

Early this month, I received Sigma Flat Top Synthetic Kabuki - F80 for review purpose.

(The review will be on a separate post. Ahh.. It will be my first brush review! >.<~)

Yes, the giveaway will be the featured F80! Only 1 lucky winner :D

Review: Skin79 Lovely Girl BB Cream

Here's the press kit that Skin79 Singapore had sent me earlier this month. CLICK HERE to read more about Skin79 Lovely Girl BB Cream.

A sweet pink metal tin casing, about the size of my palm.

Very pretty, isn't it? Those polka dots.. lace and ribbon details..

*surprise-SURPRISE!~*

There's actually a shimmer puff inside! Can you see the sparkly bits? I used it on my décolletage, for a touch of subtle shimmery look

(Hmm.. unfortunately it's not for sale..)

Even the packaging interior is so pretty (the butterfly and heart motifs)! Everything about Lovely Girl BB Cream screams PINK! What's not to love? ♥

Skin79 Lovely Girl BB Cream (50g) - $21.90

New and sealed.

Lovely Girl BB Cream is light beige in color, with slightly ashy undertones. Has a faint sweet bubblegum scent.

It has a lightweight texture; easy to spread on the face with no sticky feeling. Offers sheer medium, natural looking coverage. Perfect for light makeup days.

At first, the Lovely Girl BB Cream does look slightly ashy on me. Within minutes, it blends in with my skin tone! *HAPPY!~*

It helps even out my skintone and covers my redness pretty well. Brightens up my complexion instantly, thanks to herb complex & chlorella extracts.

A dewy natural finish, which I really like!

Lovely Girl BB Cream works well for my fair-medium skin tone (NC/NW20). Suitable for fair to fair-medium skin tones (in my opinion). The sheer medium coverage is good enough for me on my good skin days. A separate concealer is needed if you've serious acne and/or dark circle problem. It's easy to spread and blend the BB Cream on my face, using my trusty fingers. I like how the BB Cream feels on the skin, very comfortable and moisturizing (not sticky/greasy).

The finish is really natural-looking, with a lovely glow. It is made of excellent porosity powder, hence providing good oil control (I need to blot after 5-6 hours). Even better, when I use Maybelline Dream Matte Powder (Sand) to set the BB Cream.

Note: Do remember to use a sunblock as it doesn't contain SPF.

This is the finished look. My face looks kinda matte b'coz I buff on Maybelline Dream Matte Powder (Sand) to set the BB Cream.

My skin looks silky smooth, velvety and soft (like that of baby's skin). Agree? (:

LOTD: Icy Pink-Blue-Green

It was my first time attempting this look. And.. I like the outcome!

Nothing on my lips as I took the photos after I got home from events.. Dry, cracked lips.. *sigh*

The liner on my waterline got a lil' smudged by then.. after many hours..

Tired look.. =.=

FACE:

  • Lancôme Teint Miracle Foundation PO-3
  • Maybelline Dream Matte Powder (Sand)
  • Jill Stuart Mix Blush Compact 10 Sweet Biscuit
  • Canmake Shading Powder 01 Danish Brown

Shu Uemura Prima Palette + LOTD: My Atelier Look (feat. G Silver and ME686)

In my earlier post (back in July), I was saying that I see no need in getting a palette to house the Shu Uemura eyeshadows. Now, I take back my words since I'd gotten the limited edition Prima Palette from the Novadiva Collection (sometime ago). Well, it was too pretty for me to pass. And, I paid SGD$22 for this. A lil' sianz when I gotta know it's selling for about half the price I pay, in Hongkong. Well, most makeup stuff in S'pore are heavily marked up..

Anyway, there're still empty spaces for either 2 e/s or a blusher.. Hmm.. No rush in filling 'em up as yet.. (;

Smart, sleek and easy-to-use palette. No glue, magnet, tape or whatsoever is needed.

Love the intricate floral lace design!

On a closer look, you can actually see the beautiful iridescent micro-shimmers. Definitely a worthy collector's item!

Here are swatches of G Silver and ME686.

*** Pls ignore the mark (left by my eyebrow mascara).. =.=" ***

For this LOTD, I used Urban Decay Primer Potion prior e/s application. Then, I used Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil (Gunmetal) to line the upper and lower lashline. Using my ring finger, I applied ME686 all over the lid area, with more applied on the outer V area. As my right eye is monolid, I applied more color to balance the look of both eyes.

I used G Silver for the overall lid color. If you just want a hint of shimmer, you can just use G Silver sparingly on the crease area. If you want a more defined look, you can use black eyeliner to tight-line the upper and lower lashline. The last step would be curling the lashes and apply your favorite waterproof mascara. I will be talking about the mascara I used for this LOTD on a separate post. For a more dramatic look, apply fake lashes.

On a side note, I'm sick for almost a week.. Still in the sick mode, despite drowning myself with medicines.. Well at least, I'm feeling somewhat better now..That explains my lack of updates for the past week.. Basically, I just sleep and sleep.. AND SLEEP. I wake up a few hours to eat, then SLEEP again..

Excuse my patchy-looking complexion.. AND my strawberry nose.. =.="

That's all for now. Thanks for looking!

Leaders Clinic I.P.L (Intense Perfection Light) Whitelux Ampoule Mask

Here's a long dued review of Leaders Clinic I.P.L (Intense Perfection Light) Whitelux Ampoule Mask.

It contains an entire bottle of highly concentrated ampoule!

Key Ingredients:- Vitamin C-AA2G, Arbutin, Mulberry Bark

Effects:- Lighten pigmentation, brighten, moisturize, revitalize the skin

BEFORE

MASK-ING

The mask (soaked with 25ml of concentrated essence) adheres to my face well and doesn't tear easily. The silk cellulose mask material is one of the unique selling points of Leaders Clinic Clinie Masks.

Has a faint scent.

The consistency of the essence is slightly thick and slimy.

AFTER

I do notice the instant brightening effect it has on my skin. Gives my dull complexion a healthier glow.

Is the results equivalent to that of the actual I.P.L (Intense Perfection Light)? Hmm.. I can't comment on that since I haven't got the luxury to experience that before.

It moisturizes my skin well. My skin feels well-hydrated but I don't fancy the slightly sticky feeling though. It takes a pretty long time for the essence to be absorbed into skin. Alternatively, I can always rinse off the essence (but I didn't). It is a relatively good mask if you want an instant brightening effect on your skin.

Leaders Clinic Masks ($4.95/pc) are available at most Guardian outlets.
