Mavala Lip Gloss [Sugar Free Collection]

Along with Delicious Color's, I also received a lovely set of Mavala Lip Gloss [Sugar Free Collection]. I had fun trying 'em out!

Mavala Lip Gloss [Sugar Free Collection] is created to match Delicious Color's [mini nail polish collection], for a yummilicious mix!

Mavala Lip Gloss is rich, ultra-shiny BUT non-sticky. Its formula contains micro-shimmering particles of mother-of-pearl as well as grape seed oil. Grape seed oil is enriched with vitamins, mineral salts and oglio-elements. It also contains polyphenols, which are Vitamin E enriched molecules which help to reinforce the natural protection of the lips, effectively fighting free radicals which are responsible for 80% of skin's premature ageing. The combination of emollient esters and grape seed oil, provides soothing, regenerating and nourishing care to lips.

I was provided with 5 beautiful shades to feature in my blog

These lip glosses are housed in clear tubes, which showcase their true colors. What you see is what you get!

Strawberry, like a delicious red coulis

Litchi, like a crunchy exotic fruit

Bubble Gum, like an old fashioned chewing gum

Grapefruit, like a fresh and rosy sweet

Blackcurrant, like a tasty cassis sugared almond

Love the soft foam applicator, feels very gentle on my lips (:

Swatch-fest!

These lip glosses pack a punch -- so pigmented! The shades are slightly iridescent to unveil the colors in all their beauty and subtleness.

Lip Swatches!

I enjoy using these vanilla-flavored lip glosses as they make my lips look so juicy :P As shown from the image above, my lips doesn't look/feel so dry with the lip glosses on. The shimmering particles are not obvious at all, unless you scrutinize real up close.

Litchi is a pretty nude peach color, best paired with smokey eyes (in my opinion). In comparison to the rest, it kind of emphasizes my lip's fine lines the most.

Grapefruit and Bubble Gum are my favorite shades, especially the latter. My lips look perfectly yummilicious with Bubble Gum on. My lip's fine lines are not that visible. As for Grapefruit, I just love this coral shade. Nothing too bright. MLBB (my lips but better) lip color

Strawberry's consistency is slightly watery, which doesn't give full-on red lips. Regardless, it is still decently pigmented. A cheery red which brightens up one's look instantly.

Blackcurrant is not too dark, a gorgeous red-violet. Not your conventional lip color. It gives off that mysterious vibe, me like.

I LOVE 'EM ALL!

My favorite shades (:

LOTD with Bubble Gum. Ahh... I'm missing my bright pink hair >.<~~

The long list of shades available.

That's all. Thanks for reading! (:

NOTD: Dark Fuchsia Blings

I'm really liking this fusion of dark fuchsia & blings on my nails. As of now, they still look good with minimal tip wear. Oh my, it's the 5th day already! :3

After applying clear base coat, I apply 2 coats of Holika Holika nail polish no.11. It is rather difficult to apply evenly, b'coz of its clumpy consistency. Somehow, the finish doesn't look so uneven after layering on 229 Sparkling Silver Mavala Show Time Collection. A single layer will do. As usual, the final touch will be a layer of fast-dry top coat.

I can't stop admiring my bling-bling nails for 5 days straight. Ahh... see how sparkly they are!

Happy weekend! (:

Delicious Color's by Mavala

After Show Time, it's time for Delicious Color's - Mavala's 2012 summer collection of colorful pastel hues. I couldn't contain my excitement when I received this candied surprise from Mavala! Thanks~ :D

Very visual appealing!

A total of six delectable candied colors to choose from...

179 LEMON CREAM

[sweet vanilla yellow]

180 CANDY FLOSS

[fluffy girly pink]

181 BLUE MINT

[icy candy blue]

182 FRESH MELON

light tangerine orange

183 PISTACHIO

tender ice-cream green

184 FROZEN BERRY

violet-red blossom

For my swatches, I apply the nail colors over a base coat then layer on a fast-dry top coat (I can never do without it!). These "candies" are well-pigmented, hence I find two coats to be enough for a nice opaque finish.

Ahh... I'm no expert in applying nail colors especially pastel ones in particular. However, they are easier to apply than I thought. These creamy nail colors contain super finely-milled shimmers, which are more visible upon closer scrutiny.

Honestly, I love all the six colors... My top pick is... pink orange! A color which is super rare in my stash, as I used to dislike it very-very much. Now that I'm older, I'm lovin' orange so much (same applies for yellow). I've no idea why (lol).

Hmm... Mavala nail colors are much underrated, in my opinion. If you've the chance to try 'em, you will definitely love 'em as much as I do.

The retail price of each bottle (5ml) is $5.30.

Look what arrived (last month)? A black box of goodies from Mavala, all the way from Switzerland!

Ahh... I can't wait to share with you these dazzling "glitter bombs"

It's Show Time!

Prepare to shine with this collection of dazzling topcoats. Choose between 6 colour-ways infused with specks of holographic glitter particles that wil instantly transform any colour.

Retailing at $5.30 each, these iconic 5ml pots of colour are an affordable way to buy into key trends. Unlike traditional nail colour, Mavala’s unique formula delivers microscopic air pockets to allow nails to breath, ensuring your natural nails are cared for.

All Mavala’s colours are free from parabens, formaldehydes, toluene, camphore, cellophane, animal ingredients and heavy metal. ★

  • Sparkling Gold
  • Sparkling Red
  • Sparkling Violet
  • Sparkling Blue
  • Sparkling Bronze
  • Sparkling Silver

These 6 transparent ultra-glittering topcoaters are pretty to wear on their own or over your favorite nail color.

I love 'em all! They sparkle and dazzle like nobody's business :P

Sparkling Blue

turquoise micro-glitters + orange-red and silver glitters + blue hexagon glitters

Very-very pretty! I don't think I've something like this... do I?

Sparkling Red

short gold strips + red and holographic glitters

Such a great attention-grabber, isn't it?!

Sparkling Gold

gold micro-glitters + fuchsia, orange-red and yellow-green glitters

Looks good on me... me thinks :X

Sparkling Violet

round blue and gold glitters + square violet glitters

Hmm... I think this needs to be applied over a nail color to look better?

Sparkling Silver

round glitters + hexagon holographic (medium-size) and silver (small-size) glitters

This has gotta be my favoritest in this glittery collection. Fyi, all were swatched on the same day except Sparkling Silver... 3 days later to be exact :D

Sparkling Bronze

green and bronze micro-glitters + bronze glitters + gold hexagon glitters

This is something unique in my nail polish stash, coz I don't usually fancy bronze colors. I like! Hmm... It doesn't photograph very well though >.<

For all swatches, I applied at least 3 coats each (with clear base and top coat).

Sparkling Gold, Sparkling Blue, Sparkling Bronze, Sparkling Red

As compared to the other colors, Sparkling Violet clearly looks more dispersed.

Sparkling Blue, Sparkling Bronze, Sparkling Red remained pretty intact with minimal tip wear (after 3 days).

That's all. Thanks for looking! (;
