L'oreal Shine Caresse - Juliette, Milady, Bella, Eve

I'm not really a fan of lip gloss since I don't fancy the sticky feel it leaves on my lips. Not to mention, the lack of color payoff. Well, L'oreal Shine Caresse might have just changed my perception of lipglosses altogether.

I love the idea of hybrid lip products where I get the color intensity of a lipstick, the shine of a lipgloss and the long lastingness of a lipstain. It just sounds perfectly perfect. And, it is.

For a drugstore brand, the sleek gold tube packaging does make it look more expensive. And, definitely more classy.

In Singapore, Shine Caresse is available in 8 candy-colored shades:

  • 600 Venus (peach)
  • 603 Milady (iridescent violet)
  • 604 Bella (peach pink)
  • 605 Eve (fuchsia)
  • 606 Lolita (nude pink)
  • 702 Juliette (coral red)
  • 801 Princess (bright coral)
  • 900 Pretty Lady (nude brown)

CLICK HERE to view the swatches.

Some say they are dupes for YSL Glossy Stains. I can't comment much, as I've never tried the YSL ones.

Shine Caresse has a liquidy creme texture that does not make my lips feel sticky. The color payoff is better than most lip glosses, with a subtle shine. There is no/hardly visible shimmers in all shades. Do note that it is scented... a sweet bubblegummish scent that some might dislike. I am fine with that.

As you can see from the images below, my lips were very dry and cracked prior applying Shine Caresse. I like that it does not accentuate the dryness of my lips. Instead, they look freshly moisturized with a rich coat of candy hue.

Overall, they are pretty long-lasting. Even after a meal/drink, it leaves behind a nice even stain.

702 Juliette (coral red)

My lips are quite pigmented. I was pleasantly surprised when a lip gloss can actually appear true to its color in the tube, when applied on my lips. That, I am referring to 702 Juliette (coral red)... though it requires at least 3 coats for full opacity. Otherwise, for a subtle stain look, a single coat will do.

Well, I really love this fiery coral red as it brightens my look effortlessly. However, I cannot get over the fact that the stain on my lips cannot be removed easily and fully. My lips look as though they bleed. Do ensure your lips are not dry and cracked prior application. You can apply lip balm as a protective layer.

603 Milady (iridescent violet)

On my pigmented lips, 603 Milady (iridescent violet) appears somewhat darker than expected. Either ways, I like this unique iridescent violet shade very much. It is a staple in my makeup pouch

604 Bella (peach pink)

Most will love 604 Bella (peach pink) as it seems to be an easy color to wear. It looks kinda warm on my lips... but I like this soft peachy pink shade nevertheless. It is one of the colors I usually wear.

605 Eve (fuchsia)

As for 605 Eve (fuchsia), it was love at first swatch. It is my favoritest of all. How to resist such a gorgeous berry shade (on my lips) that flatters my complexion? That being said, I hardly wear bold lip colors out :x

See the tiny hole in the center of the foam applicator? It actually removes excess color as you apply the lip color. Major love!

For $18.90, I think it is worth to invest in not 1 but 2 (or maybe 3) of your favorite shades. For now, you have 8 shades to choose from. Who knows L'oreal might bring in more colors in future? *hint-hint*

Brigitte Romantic Lip Gloss PK-1 Baby Pink

When I first saw Brigitte cosmetics, I couldn't help but be mesmerized by the sweet and romantic packaging. And, not forgetting the pretty face of Brigitte cosmetics - Rola (Japanese fashion model, TV peronality and singer).

Brigitte Romantic Lip Gloss ($18.90) is a shimmer lip gloss that creates a glamorous, long-lasting lacquered effect for smooth, delicious lips. It contains jojoba oil and olive squalene to keep the lips moist.

Comes in 5 shades PK-1 Milky Pink (hmm... it says "Baby Pink" on the product box), PK-2 Pink, BE-1 Beige, BE-2 Pink Beige, RS-1 Rose.

Other than lipgloss, they have blush, eye makeup (eyeliners, mascaras, eyeshadows, falsies) and also eyebrow grooming products.

Brigitte Romantic Lip Gloss Pk-1 Baby Pink, was one of the (many) goodies I received at the Haraju-cute event.

Ingredient list, for the curious...

It comes with the doe-foot applicator, which I prefer over the brush ones.

Brigitte Romantic Lip Gloss PK-1 Baby Pink, is a beautiful opalescent milky pink. It is fairly pigmented, which can be worn alone or over your favorite lipstick.

It applies smoothly, giving a slight lip plumping effect. I like that it doesn't feel sticky at all. The shimmers are so fine, you can barely detect them. That's a good thing for me.

This is the perfect lip color for a first date :P

Brigitte cosmetics can be found exclusively at the Haraju-cute counter at Guardian.

Mavala Lip Gloss [Sugar Free Collection]

Along with Delicious Color's, I also received a lovely set of Mavala Lip Gloss [Sugar Free Collection]. I had fun trying 'em out!

Mavala Lip Gloss [Sugar Free Collection] is created to match Delicious Color's [mini nail polish collection], for a yummilicious mix!

Mavala Lip Gloss is rich, ultra-shiny BUT non-sticky. Its formula contains micro-shimmering particles of mother-of-pearl as well as grape seed oil. Grape seed oil is enriched with vitamins, mineral salts and oglio-elements. It also contains polyphenols, which are Vitamin E enriched molecules which help to reinforce the natural protection of the lips, effectively fighting free radicals which are responsible for 80% of skin's premature ageing. The combination of emollient esters and grape seed oil, provides soothing, regenerating and nourishing care to lips.

I was provided with 5 beautiful shades to feature in my blog

These lip glosses are housed in clear tubes, which showcase their true colors. What you see is what you get!

Strawberry, like a delicious red coulis

Litchi, like a crunchy exotic fruit

Bubble Gum, like an old fashioned chewing gum

Grapefruit, like a fresh and rosy sweet

Blackcurrant, like a tasty cassis sugared almond

Love the soft foam applicator, feels very gentle on my lips (:

Swatch-fest!

These lip glosses pack a punch -- so pigmented! The shades are slightly iridescent to unveil the colors in all their beauty and subtleness.

Lip Swatches!

I enjoy using these vanilla-flavored lip glosses as they make my lips look so juicy :P As shown from the image above, my lips doesn't look/feel so dry with the lip glosses on. The shimmering particles are not obvious at all, unless you scrutinize real up close.

Litchi is a pretty nude peach color, best paired with smokey eyes (in my opinion). In comparison to the rest, it kind of emphasizes my lip's fine lines the most.

Grapefruit and Bubble Gum are my favorite shades, especially the latter. My lips look perfectly yummilicious with Bubble Gum on. My lip's fine lines are not that visible. As for Grapefruit, I just love this coral shade. Nothing too bright. MLBB (my lips but better) lip color

Strawberry's consistency is slightly watery, which doesn't give full-on red lips. Regardless, it is still decently pigmented. A cheery red which brightens up one's look instantly.

Blackcurrant is not too dark, a gorgeous red-violet. Not your conventional lip color. It gives off that mysterious vibe, me like.

I LOVE 'EM ALL!

My favorite shades (:

LOTD with Bubble Gum. Ahh... I'm missing my bright pink hair >.<~~

The long list of shades available.

That's all. Thanks for reading! (:

Hello Kitty Diamond Gloss

Being a huge fan of the mouthless kitty, I squealed with delight upon receiving the Hello Kitty press kit from Star Asia.

A brief description of Hello Kitty [image credits to Google Search]

Hello Kitty Makeup, exclusively available at Watsons Singapore.

Hello Kitty Diamond Gloss comes in a cocktail of 7 fruity flavors, namely:- Lemon IncestOrange Mécanique, Strawberry Fields, Pink Paradise, Big Apple, Eau de coco, Blueberry Nights.

Retails at $12.90 each.

I received these 3 delicious flavors in my press kit - Lemon IncestOrange Mécanique, Strawberry Fields.

So sparkly! Aren't they beautiful?

Photographed best with sunlight!

They are housed in transparent bottles, so that you can easily see the acidulated colors of these glosses.

I like the idea of a roll-on applicator, coz it makes application so easy peasy. Simply glide the gloss onto lips... without the use of mirror.

Lemon Incest

PS: The name sounds soooooo wrong!!!! =.=zzz

Orange Mécanique

Strawberry Fields

Here's the lip swatch of Strawberry Fields. It gives the lips the right amount of shine (in my opinion), with a very slight hint of color. While the sparkly shimmer bits appear more concentrated in the bottle, they look pretty scattered on the lips.

My favorite flavor will be Orange Mécanique, coz it smells just like yummy orange candies. As for Lemon Incest Strawberry Fields, they smell just like lemon and strawberry candies respectively.

I'm glad to say that the gloss is neither sticky nor greasy. In fact, they feel pretty moisturizing. An instant savior for my dry-looking lips!

Beat the monday blues with these kawaii lip glosses
