Review: Kose Seikisho Mask White

I've been using Kose Seikisho Mask White since I was 21.

Kose Seikisho Mask White is formulated with black nano-powder. Eliminates causes of dull complexion to maintain pure white clarity.

Highlights:

  • Peel-off black whitening pack eliminates causes of dull complexion to maintain pure white clarity.
  • Continually delivers active ingredients deep into keratin layer, while simultaneously removing keratotic plugs (comedos), melanin and old keratin that contribute to dark pores.
  • Formulated with black nano-powder that readily disperses on skin, adhering tightly as if bonding with the skin, thanks to excellent film-forming power. Fast-drying too.
  • Enriched with five Japanese and Chinese herbal extracts, including wormwood extract and goldthread extract - the first Seikisho product to incorporate these wholesome natural ingredients.
  • Soothing floral fragrance enhances therapeutic effect.

    [info extracted from www.kose.com.sg]

After cleansing your face, wet cotton pad with Kose Sekkisei Lotion and pat on face.

Start applying Kose Seikisho Mask White from a - b - c then the rest of face. The cheek area takes a longer time to dry as compared to the T-zone. That's why the application starts from the cheek area. I only use one finger (index finger) to apply so it won't become a messy affair. Apply gently, carefully, generously AND evenly. Do not apply thinly. The layer of mask should be thick enough that you can't see your skin peeking through. Avoid area around eyes, eyebrows, hairline and lips.

The consistency is quite thick and runny, not as tacky as Shills Purifying Peel-Off Mask. It has a distinct floral herbal scent. Very soothing.

It will take approximately 20-30mins for the mask to fully dry. You will notice the mask has dried to a matte finish and your skin feels "tightened". After which, peel off from outer edges (starting from chin to cheek to forehead) towards center of face. Lastly, peel off the mask from chin (upwards).

Wet cotton pad with Kose Sekkisei Lotion and pat on face. This is to soothe the skin and remove any mask residue.

I love seeing these icky bits. The more, the merrier! It goes to show how effective the mask is (at least for me). Sometime, it does hurt a little when peeling off the mask (too dry!). If you have oilier skin, it's recommended to use about 2-3 times a week. For dry skin, just use once a week will do. I use at least once a week on my T-zone (twice at most). For full-face, I'll do it only 2-3 times a month.

It helps remove some whiteheads and fine facial hair. I still need to rely on pore strips which helps remove more whiteheads and blackheads. My complexion is noticeably clearer, softer and smoother after use. With regular use, I do notice that my complexion is not as dull as before. That's why after so many years, I'm still using this product!

    Retails at $35 (75ml).

Kracie Hadabisei Deep Moisture Mask U (Smoothening)

I've bought and used a couple of these sheet masks at Watsons (SGD$1.95 each). They are usually sold in 5pc/box, for $17ish (I think).

    Contains 20ml of essence.

For myself, I leave on the mask for 15mins before removing it.

No distinct scent at all, since the mask is fragrance-free. Though it is infused with citric acid (lemon extract), there isn't any citrusy lemon scent. It is said to be mildly acidic, but has no negative impact on my skin. No irritation or whatsoever.

The mask sheet is bigger than my face! Hmm.. Well, I don't have a small face to begin with =.=

As shown from the image above, it doesn't fit my facial contours well. It is big enough to cover my face. That's quite notable. This is the typical kind of sheet mask with clear watery essence. The mask itself is soaked with essence, with little "leftover" in the package. The watery essence absorbs into skin easily, with absolutely no sticky or greasy feel.

Overall, I like the well-mosturized feel it gives me. The result of using this mask is pretty straightforward. My skin also feels noticeably soft and smooth. That's about it. Thanks for reading!

Review: My Beauty Diary Hello Kitty Honey Strawberry Mask

My Beauty Diary Hello Kitty Honey Strawberry Mask - what a long product name! Sounds really yummy eh. Hmm.. I've been using this mask for thrice, so I reckon it's time for a review.

This is one of the designs in the box set. CLICK HERE to view the other designs.

How I wish all mask designs are as kawaii as this..

    The 'ingredients' list.

The mask essence, which is very watery and non-sticky.

As you can see from the photo above, the mask sheet is really thin. So thin that the red spots on my face can be seen clearly. Yes, it tears easily too. Fits my face contours well nonetheless.

This was my very 1st time using the MBD HK Honey Strawberry Mask (1 month ago) and I really like it alot! After using this thrice, I must say it's one of my HG masks. This goes to show how much I love this mask!

MBD HK Honey Strawberry Mask is drenched with lots of essence goodness (23ml)! It feels 4x wetter than the LoveMore mask I reviewed not long ago (CLICK HERE). I ain't joking.

Very moisturizing I would say. Great for soothing the skin's redness as well, which can be evidently seen everytime I use the mask. I like that it is not heavily scented. Plus, it smells really like honey without the strawberry - I like! Ahh.. So pleasant, so relaxing.. Pure bliss! Falling in love with it is as easy as ABC

Do note that there's absolutely no need to rinse off the essence like that of whitening mask. Just simply massage the essence into your skin after removing the mask (15mins). Very easily absorbed into the skin and zero sticky feeling. My skin feels/looks so much refreshed, hydrated, soft and smooth after using it.

Sounds awesome? Indeed it is. This is definitely the mask to use if your skin is in need of an instant hydrating boost! It is limited edition, and I think most Watsons don't stock it anymore? Try buying it online but beware of imitation goods! Thanks for reading. Hope my review helps somehow.

    Review: Sana Hadanomy Collagen Mask

I purchased this box of Sana Hadanomy Collagen Mask sometime ago at Sasa store. Retails at $20.90 for 4 pcs. Rather pricey, I would say. On Sasa.com, it's only selling at US$8.80! So over-priced uh.

Sana Hadanomy Collagen Mask is a collagen jelly rich mask. It is an elastic cotton mask sheet which fits the facial contour snugly for face lifting results. The combination of micro-collagen (1000mg), hyaluronic acid, acerola extract & honey provides instant moisture boost to the skin. No colorant, no mineral oil. Non-comedogenic-tested.

Here's how the mask looks like. Different from the ones I used before.

    HOW TO USE?:

    • After cleansing, fit top mask on forehead to eyehole and gently tear off joined cheek part on both sides.
    • Lightly pull each side of bottom mask upward to lap on the top. Make sure the mask adhere to the face.
    • Press and melt essence into the skin with your palms.
    • Leave on for 3-10mins. No need to rinse.

Recommended for use once or twice a week.

Suitable for all skin type/dry & delicate skin. Not recommended for acne prone skin type though.

The collagen jelly is more of a thick liquid texture, which doesn't feel sticky to touch.

FYI, each mask contains 27ml of essence goodness!

    Review:

This Sana Hadanomy Collagen Mask contains generous amount of essence. It is dripping wet when removed from the sachet. There's still alot of essence left, which I apply on my super dry legs. As you can see, the mask design is really weird and the mask keeps dropping.. =.= I had to tilt my head slightly backwards, to prevent the mask from dropping. Can they pls change the awful mask design?? I reckon ear hooks will be much better.

While having the mask on, I pat my face as stated in the instructions. After 10mins, I remove the mask and it is still pretty wet! Then, I promptly pat my face for the essence to be fully absorbed into skin. It doesn't take long for the essence to be absorbed into skin and there's no sticky feeling. My face feels uber hydrated and radiant after using this wonderful mask! AND, my skin feels so soft and smooth to touch! The results ain't temporary. My face is still dewy-looking the next few days! However, there isn't any firming effect on my face.

All in all, this is a highly recommended mask for that much needed moisture boost! A super-hydrating mask which has a pleasant floral scent. So soothing and relaxing! No doubt, this has become 1 of my favorite mask sheets! I'm definitely getting it from Sasa.com next time!

Review: SexyLook Super Moisturizing Duo Lifting Mask

Received this SexyLook Super Moisturizing Duo Lifting Mask from.. Jones! THANKS! Just nice to "rescue" my troubled skin (temporarily) during my most dreaded "time-of-the-month". Sheet mask is

Look, it's a mask with ear hooks! +Aloe vera + Q10, that surely intrigues me! +Hydrate, Moisture Lock, Double Lift +

And.. I just realized it's not my 1st time trying out this mask. STM >.< It was my sis online haul back then, and we had a "mask exchange".

See the amount of essence that's left over! I apply 'em on my neck, hands. Feel so refreshed!

(PS: The mask itself still feels wet.)

    Review:

The essence doesn't feel sticky, and is easily absorbed into the skin. Do note that it is not fragrant-free; just a very light refreshing scent. With the ear hooks, the mask adheres pretty well to my skin. I can multi-task while having the mask on! Surf net, walk here and there (at home of coz) and COOK (instant noodles lol).

I would say the firming/lifting effect is minimal with one-time usage. What I like about this mask is that it does give an instant moisture boost to my dehydrated skin, thanks to the aloe vera extract & cucumber extract. Not only that, it helps soothe my skin (calendula extract & chamomile extract). My skin feels so much better after mask-ing. Seriously. Noticably soft and supple skin. Overall, I'm pleased with the results and will definitely purchase this again. A box of 5pc is selling at $7.90 (introductory price) at Secretive website. An inexpensive yet effective treat for the face. You gotta try it to know it ㋡

Review: My Beauty Diary "Blooming of Beauty" French White Lily Mask

I bought these My Beauty Diary "Blooming of Beauty" series (Limited Edition), at a special promotional price of $5.50 each at my neighbourhood Guardian Pharmacy. The usual price, I think is $7.95? Each box contains 5 pieces of mask (23ml). $1.10 each, quite worth it right?

    • French White Lily Mask (which I'm going to review in this post)
    • Peruvian Sunflower Mask
    • Japanese Hydrangea Mask

    French White Lily Mask

A special collection in celebration of the Taipei International Flora Expo, this limited-edition face mask harnesses the skin soothing and whitening qualities of the lily for a noticeably radiant and fairer complexion. Apply mask on cleansed and towel-dried face.

Leave on for 15-20 minutes and then gently massage in essence after removing mask. No need to rinse off.

As you can see, the mask isn't THAT wet. It has a distinct floral smell which is pretty pleasant to me. The essence isn't sticky and it feels good having the mask on. There's no skin irritation as some masks do cause minor itchiness at times.

I find that some masks have that plastic sheet which acts as a separator, while most don't. The side with the plastic sheet should be placed on the face as it has minimal contact with our fingers. That's what I think?

    My face of flaws >.<

A closer look at my face before mask-ing.

The mask fits my face quite well

I removed the mask after leaving on about 15mins, then followed by massaging the essence into skin. I like that the essence is easily absorbed into the skin, without the uncomfortable sticky feeling.

Yes, I could see that my face appeared to be slightly fairer and brighter. Quite moisturizing; it didn't leave my face feeling dry/taut after removing the mask.

Overall, I find this to be quite an average mask. However, it's definitely worth a try for such a low price! :D

Have you tried MBD "Blooming of Beauty" series? If yes, how do you find 'em? If no, will you get 'em to try since they're Limited Edition(!)?

Review: Garnier Light Perfect Fit & Relax Whitening Mask

I got this mask free with purchase of Garnier skincare set at NAC Watsons last year. What I like most about Garnier Light range is the signature lemon scent; the products smell so good! This retails for $4.95 I think. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Garnier Light Perfect Fit & Relax Whitening Mask

This new revolutionary whitening tissue mask contains as much product as 14 days of daily whitening care. Its special fabric Stretch-To-Fit technology has been specifically designed to wrap your face with comfort and the sensation of a professional care in just 10 mins!

Want fairer AND rested skin, free from signs of tiredness?

    RESULTS!

    My verdict:

The mask is well drenched with 24ml of product essence. The texture of the essence is slightly sticky but no worries as the essence get absorbed into the skin pretty fast. The lemon scent is oh-so-good! Feeling so relaxed just by smelling :p It fits my face exceptionally well (as shown from the photos above) and comfortably; not THAT tight. I would say the mask is a lil' small for me coz my super high forehead isn't covered fully. In just merely 10mins, I could see instant results that my skin become fairer and brighter. It felt as though I'd gone through a relaxing spa facial. It has eye flaps as well, which you can actually close your eyes, relax and cover 'em with.

I'll definitely repurchase it IF there's a promotion going on. Well, I think the price is not THAT friendly on the wallet. What do you think?
