Fairy Drops Volume Burst Mascara Waterproof

Finally, my review on Fairy Drops Volume Burst Waterproof Mascara. Well, I meant to blog about this much earlier.

Hmm... better late than never, right? (haha! me and my excuses...) :P I bought mine via eBay before it was made available in Watsons. Oh... and I've got the Platinum version which I've yet to use... Oops!

Fairy Drops Volume Burst Mascara Waterproof contains Volume Up Powder, Wax and Fiber to make “Volume Burst” in one coat. Strong against humidity, it makes a strong curl. As it is water-proof, sweat-proof and tear-proof, it is good for marine sports. You need not worry about mess and smudge. ***extracted from sasa.com***

I love the whimsical design as well as the pretty colors put together. It does look cute and pretty, amidst my mascara stash.

US and Japan patented Fairy Drops Brush (Straight) catches even tiny lashes from their roots. Lashes are bitten between the balls and sharp triangular bunches are made. It pushes up making beautiful curls without clump.

How to use?

  • Comb eyelashes with eyelash brush. Curl up eyelashes with lash curler.
  • Take out the mascara brush. Let the eyelashes be bitten between the balls at the roots and brush upward for a curl.
  • Clean up brush or container and keep tightly closed after use.

The iconic Fairy Drops Mascara brush -- looks like 3 balls of brushes stuck together (lol). So unique!

Curling my lashes prior mascara application is a must. I apply two coats, which is just nice (in my opinion). The formula is not too wet, yet not too dry. I was surprised that my lashes still feel pretty soft to touch as waterproof mascaras tend to make lashes stiff.

The 3 balls really help in catching the tiniest of lash. I hardly apply mascara to my barely-there bottom lashes, since most mascaras don't do much in lengthening and defining 'em. This does -- thanks to the tiny mascara fibers and its vivid black intensity!

I like how it defines, separates, lengthens my lashes. My lashes doesn't feel clumpy at all.

Most importantly, it holds curls extremely well. In fact, all day long! I've used it numerous times, and it never once smudge or flake on me. The waterproof formula is no joke. Thankfully, it is easily removed with an oil-based makeup remover.

My only gripe is that it doesn't add enough volume for my liking. Nevertheless, it is a new addition to my HG mascara list.

My lashes can be distinctively seen from afar, without using fake lashes. How not to love this mascara?!

What's your favorite/holy grail mascara?

SWATCH-FEST/LOTD: Sleek Makeup Mediterranean Collection

This is my humble Sleek Makeup collection so far. Just 8 9 eyeshadow palettes and 5 blushers. I have yet to collect my PPQ e/s palette.. =.=zzz

Shall be talking about the Mediterranean Collection. Didn't get the Pout Polish (as usual). And so, here we've are the Monaco e/s palette and Santorini Blush.

Santorini is a beautiful deep hot pink (matte) blush.

Uber pigmented, which is easily sheered out for a pretty flush of pink on the cheeks.

The actual color looks darker than the image above. Hmm.. It may look kinda intimidating. Trust me, the color is stunning! Remember to be as light-handed as possible to avoid looking like a clown :x

I'm super light-handed with my swatch yea :D~

Monaco e/s palette has a colorful mix of metallic, matte, shimmery shades.

Most are well-pigmented especially the metallic shades which are so smooth and buttery. Some of the matte shades do feel a lil' chalky. Overall, the quality is really good (as expected).

Bamboo makes a good e/s base color. Surprisingly, Sunset and Sandwalker appeals to me much. The metallic shades are pretty too - Kiwi Zest, Lotus Flower, Humming Bird.

FYI, these are not swatched over e/s primer.

Here's my "Mediterranean" LOTD, using the Monaco e/s palette and Santorini Blush.

For UV protection, I use C.A.D UV White Sun Base Cream SPF40/PA++. To even out my skin tone, I use Skin79 Lovely Girl BB Cream, then Chacott Finishing Powder 753. To fill my brows, I use Shu Uemura Hard Formula Eyebrow Pencil (Hard 9 Brown 03).

*Note: Product(s) highlighted are provided by beauty companies.

I use ClĂ© de Peau BeautĂ© Touche de Rouge Extra Silky Lipstick 108, then dap a teeny weeny bit of BB Cream for a nude lip look.

The colors I use from the Monaco e/s palette are:- Bamboo, Midnight Garden, Summer Breeze and Lotus Flower. The mascara I use - Fairy Drops Volume Burst Mascara (Waterproof). My ultimate favorite mascara for now. Review soon! :D~

FYI, I use Urban Decay Primer Potion prior e/s application.

Now, you should know why I'm loving the Santorini Blush sooo much! ^.~v

Thanks for looking! xoxo

Random Interesting Stuff @ Watsons

Here to share with y'all random interesting stuff I spotted @ Watsons.

Amethystory is having a promotion booth @ Watsons (Ngee Ann City). I'm not sure if it has ended though.

Love the color!

Will be reviewing part of the range. Stay tuned (:

Recently, drugstore skincare brands have jumped onto the "instant-foam cleanser" bandwagon. Hmm.. That's great! I do prefer 'em over the normal ones. Hassle-free much.

Bebe Poshe is finally made available @ Watsons NACCLICK HERE for swatches of Bebe Poshe products. The column beside Bebe Poshe has different brands within.

The LeopardThe Red Cheetah

The Pink Polka

The Violent Lips look really awesome.. for HALLOWEEN! I don't think anyone will be game enough to wear leopard print lips on normal days? Too out-standing.. Very visually appealing though..

There's also bird-feathers lashes.. Didn't take note of the brand.. It's within the same column as Violent Lips. Oh, China Glaze nail polishes can be bought @ Watsons.. for $19 each! =.=

Fairy Drops Jelly Glosses. Didn't test 'em out as the testers were in a gooey mess.. :s

Dolly Wink makeup/fake lashes, STILL available.

Fairy Drops Vanilla Puff Mineral Powder, available in 4 colors (Ochre, Dark Ochre, Gold Bronzer, Sparkle).

Fairy Drops Candy Bar BB Cream, available in Ochre & Light Ochre.

I don't like the sponge applicator. Unhygienic much. They should just forgo it seriously.

Quick update for now. Thanks for looking!
