my first Illamasqua makeup products. i ordered online during a 50% sale and i got my sister to order too since the delivery is a flat rate of £7.50. however this was a rather unpleasant purchase and i don't think i'll ever order again (i'll prolly join a spree or something ?). why ? simply because the delivery took ages to reach me (more than a month definitely). i got two somewhat damaged products which i was lazy to send back to do an exchange/refund. the very worst thing which happened was that initially i was told to pay a freaking $70 for the custom administrative fee plus GST or whatever it is.
you can imagine how fuming mad i was ! hello, $140+ for the makeup plus another $70 for nonsense fee ?! CRAZY !! i told the person in charge of the delivery service that i will not pay since it was never stated at the website that i must pay for whatever fee :/ then he said he would liaise with the Illamasqua side and let me know. in the end, he called back and told me i don't have to pay anymore.
anyway, the delivery sucks big time !! i wonder if anyone else encounter this stupid problem ? SIGH -_-" guess i'm just plain unlucky !
and so, this black parcel came.
these are the stuff we've gotten. two of which are retail priced, no discount.
Cream Blusher (Promise) - warm candy pink, dewy finish. notice the nick at the bottom right corner ?
swatch on my hand. this is the one without discount.
Powder Blusher (Primal) - pale greyish beige, matt finish.
Powder Blusher (Kiss) - deep rose plum, matt finish.
Pure Pigment (Marvel) - yellow gold shimmer.
Pure Pigment (Tingle) - cool silver shimmer. not mine (:
Pure Pigment (Lust) - pale green shimmer.
Eye Liner Cake (Devout) - steel grey.
Sealing Gel. 10ml x2. for looks with added impact. mix with Powder Eye Shadow, Pure Pigment or Eye Liner Cake to create a colour-intense paste that dries quickly and lasts for hours. retail priced.
Powder Eye Shadow (Immortal) - bright iridescent white, shimmer finish. not mine too (:
Sheer Lipgloss (Electrify) -iridescent baby pink. hahas not mine (:
mine :'/ Lipstick (Trash) - metallic gold shimmer. what a worthy name indeed !!
ok, this sums up my unpleasant Illamasqua experience :'/ nothing much to elaborate. till then.
$70?!? Insanity much?!? Goodness... Nicks on blushers... Does it mean that someone has opened it? I got a nick once on my blusher as well. Hate it when these things happen. Anyway, horrible experience but a very fabulous haul! Love Kiss! (:
ReplyDeletegeez... your trash lipstick is ruined!!!! i had nicks on the cargo blushes that i got from drugstore.com too. It looks like the packer decided to take a look at the colour while packing and do a lil' swatch test while at it. sigh....
ReplyDeleteOh my, $70? They want to rob a bank is it? A pity you cant do an exchange or a refund. Have you tried asking for a credit from illamasqua?
ReplyDeleteThat's so bad! Look at the state the lipstick's in! I reckon you should write to illamasqua including the picture and demand a refund without having to send it back due to high postage costs. The blushers look amazing though, despite the nicks. Definitely still an awesome haul!
