Korean Style Makeup (The Basics)

Have you noticed that Korean actresses all look so naturally flawless, with their barely there makeup. It is no secret that most of 'em have gone under the knife (plastic surgery). Makeup is still pretty much needed to bring out their (surgically-enhanced) features.

And so, the Basic Korean Style Makeup Look is all about having that flawless, glowy complexion. I've particularly noticed their thick, straight brows. Their eyes are subtly defined (minimal or no eyeshadow, lightly mascara-ed lashes). Natural color for the lips.

I'm using the following products to achieve the Basic Korean Style Makeup Look:-

As you can see, I didn't use many products for this look. Everything was kept fairly simple.

BB Cream, is a must. Gowoonsesang Brightening Balm SPF30 PA++ does the job for achieving flawless complexion. Palgantong Theatrical Powder (Pearl Beige) is lightly applied to set the makeup for that lovely glow.

To conceal my dark eye circles, I used the illuminator part of Lancôme Rénergie Yeux Multiple Lift.

Lancôme Le Crayon Sourcils (Brun).

No eyeshadow was used. Using K-Palette 24H Real Lasting Eyeliner 01 Black, I drew thinly, as close to the (upper) lashline as possible (slightly winged out at the end). For my right eye, I drew a lil' thicker to balance out the eye look. I lined the lower lashline,with Barry M Intense Black Eyeliner Pen.

Only 1 coat of L'oreal Voluminous Waterproof Mascara (Black) was used for my upper and lower lashes, to naturally define 'em. I did curl my lashes beforehand, just that the mascara didn't hold the curls well :/

I merely smeared on Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm, for a light sheen on my lips. To finish the look, I used Canmake Powder Cheeks PW20 for a natural pink flush on my cheeks.

LOTD: Smoky Neutral

I've been pretty busy (lazy) nowadays, hence the lack of LOTD updates. My usual LOTD is simple -> BB cream + Eyeliner + Eyebrow + Blush + Lipbalm. That's it. When I feel like it, I'll do smoky eyes *laughs* xD

A close-up of my eye makeup. FYI, I'm wearing EOS Super Hyper Nudy Pink lenses from Barbie-Shoppu. I bought in total 3 pairs, all pink but different designs. The Super Neon Pink look pretty scary on me (I think), reminds me of Halloween :/ I bought the Flower Pink as well. My lil' sis also bought 3 pairs since there was a Buy 5 Get 1 promotion.

What did I use for the smoky eye effect ? This eyeshadow looks familiar eh ? :p

See the gorgeous color swatch ! It's Nature Republic Prism Star Eyeshadow BK904 Golden Gray (: I seriously like this series of eyeshadows alot. If you're interested, do drop by any Nature Republic outlets coz they're having a BOGO promotion (excluding the newly launched) till 30 Nov (If the info given to me by the salesguy is correct).

The color is a beautiful soft dark gray with golden micro-shimmers. The pigmentation is pretty good, super value for $ IMO. FYI, I layered this eyeshadow over Stage 04 Pewter Performance Eye Liner. For the rest of my eye makeup, I used Majolica Majorca Shadow Customize WT963, L'oreal Waterproof Voluminous (Black), Etude House Glow Pencil 2 & K-Palette Real Lasting Eyebrow 24h 01.

Burt's Bees Medicated Lip Balm for my lips. Shu Uemura Glow On P Peach 40 for the cheeks.

Bio-essence Aqua BB Cream & Kevin Beautymaker Tranexamic Acid Whitening Pressed Powder no.3 Natural for the face.

Tagged: Top 6 lip products

Sometime back, I was tagged by poutylips09 to list out my top 6 lip products. So here I am, sharing with y'all my favourites (as of now). Not in order of preference btw.

ZA Plumper Lips 01 Ruby Dazzle. I'm glad that I bought this new ZA lippy (@ Watsons) as I love it so much ! First of all, the price is wallet-friendly (sets you back @ just $13.90). Next, the lippy is moisturizing for my dry lips as it contains fill-up collagen. What I love most about this lippy is that it makes my lips look plumper & fuller (plump-up pearl) ! The lipstick color looks quite richly pigmented (from the tube itself) but when applied on lips, the finish is rich yet natural. It is perfect for those who prefer natural-looking lip colors. Easy to apply, and it helps that the lippy shape fits my lips pretty well. The texture is buttery, and it literally glides on my lips without tugging 'em (: No stickiness whatsoever, just pure comfort !

As you can see, there's not much visible lip lines and that my lips look smooth and oh-so-kissable (LOL). Oh ya, I love the ruby color as well as the colorful micro-shimmers. Mauvish kind of color. It's so me, I like ! The pretty pink sleek packaging is an added bonus, definitely :D Now, I'm lemming to get other colors ! Try it and you'll know what I mean :p
