LOTD: Josie Maran Fingerpaints 'Lovely' + Swatches + Reviews

I got this 'Lovely' Josie Maran Fingerpaints Palette via beautycrunch.com for USD$15 (usual price USD$36).

-Create sophisticated makeup looks with your fingers!-

A pretty multi-use palette (7.5g/0.26oz) containing four feather-light shimmers that bring soft-glowing color to eyes, cheeks, and lips. Flatters every skin tone.

The innovative formula contains natural, organic ingredients - no fragrances or parabens. Ingredients include organic jojoba seed oil (to soften the skin) and organic shea butter (to protect the skin).

The beauty extends to the packaging; chic and feminine. Each shade comes housed in Josie's state-of-the-art biodegradable compact.

I love the champagne pink reflective packaging, though it is clearly a fingerprint-magnet. It has an integrated mirror, which is good for touch-ups. The colors are so pretty-to-look-at!

Here are the 'Lovely' swatches.

LOTD:

I like the soft, blendable texture. The shimmer is subtle and imparts just the right amount of glow on my eyes and cheeks. Hmm.. I didn't try it on my lips though. I read online about the horrible creasings and such, but thankfully I didn't experience that. And, I didn't use any eye primer! Stays on beautifully for about 4 hours or so? More long-lasting than expected.

The (2) champagne pink & (3) light golden yellow shades are great as eye and cheek highlighters. Love (1) taupe brown on my lids and (4) bronzey orange as the contour shade. They just work so well together, for that perfect natural glowy look!

A nice-to-have product, I would say. If you prefer strong pigmented colors, this is not for you (:

Other key products I used for the LOTD:

Dejavu Lasting-fine Eyeliner comes in 3 shades. Deep Black (dramatic), Real Black (impact) & Dark Brown (soft). I received this Dark Brown mini sample via Dejavu FB Page.

Here's my mini review:

I like that it is a twist-up type which ensures clean, sharp and precise lines with no sharpening needed. The dark brown color is ideal if you prefer soft looks. When swatched, it appears as dark brown. The color looks softer when drawn on my eyes though. No worries as the intensity is buildable. The creamy formula glides smoothly without tugging on the delicate eyelid. So easy to draw! Super long-lasting; resists oil, sweat and tears.

***Do note that it is soft and may break if overly twisted up (not >1mm).***

I used Bourjois Blush 74 Rose Ambre as my main cheek color, with Josie Maran Fingerpaints 'Lovely' (2) champagne pink as the highlight.

A warm rosey pink, which gives a natural flush on the cheeks. Unlike most Bourjois Blush, this has much lesser shimmers and glitters. More pigmented than the shimmery glittery ones. Blends well. Best used with your own brush as the lil' brush is basically useless (bin it!). It has the typical Bourjois Blush vintage-floral-powdery scent, which I absolutely abhor.

Don't ya think it look like Chanel Joues Contraste Powder Blush? Chanel Blush at drugstore prices :D FYI, Chanel and Bourjois are sister companies. Maybe that's why.

It is not exactly matte, more of a silky satin finish.

Such a pretty color, isn't it? Warms up my complexion perfectly (:

My HG Maybelline Dream Matte Powder mattifies my face like a dream ♥

New mascara I'd gotten - Sana Gafixx Matsuge Gatch-ly Mascara! My 1st time using it and I'm in love! My lips are prettified with Chanel Aqualumière Gloss 67 Diamond Rose.

That's all for now. Thanks for looking!
