Thanks to Chantana, me & Jones got to attend "A View on Eye Beauty @ ION Sky" by Johnson & Johnson Vision Care (JJVC).
It's my our 1st time there! All the way @ Level 56! @.@ An eye-opener indeed......
[14 June 2011] JJVC brought together a panel of science and beauty experts at its 1st ever beauty workshop to unveil insights into eye beauty. Industry experts shared their insights into the factors that define attractive eyes, the science behind why eyes are deemed as the window to one's soul, and tips on how to achieve the latest looks and enhance eye beauty.
Favorit-est photo of that day! Showcasing our awesome hair colors! Our hair colors did faded by a fair bit but still.. Sooo muucchh better than my hair now.. *sob sob*
Hope I'll be able to attend the next hair color session.. >.<~~ (A shout-out to Mr Kuah B.L.)
To start the ball rollin', there's Faridah Ali Chang (registered psychologist, principal trainer and consultant from Rainbow Centre Training & Consultancy), to share with us that the eyes receive greater attention than any other facial feature. True to that.
In fact, according to a recent survey by JJVC, a whopping 80% of S'poreans rank the eyes as the most important facial asset of naturally beautiful women.
Female faces with large eyes in proportion to the face and clearly visible limbal rings (the dark ring outside the iris), were rated as more attractive to men. Thicker limbal rings makes the eyes appear larger and thus more attractive. That explains the rising popularity of beauty enhancement lenses. And her, we're talking about 1 • DAY ACUVUE® DEFINE™.
Next, Mr Peter Angel Wanneck (principal from The School of Make-Up) shared with us the latest make-up tips to get that naturally glamorous look effortlessly.
The current trend is the "natural" make-up look with a focus on defining the eyes that bear resemblance to the Korean's ulzzang style. Ulzzang (pronounced as uhl-jang) translates to "best face" or "good looking".
Using beauty enhancement lenses can increase the size of the iris and literally bring more "life" to the eyes! A palette of bronze and earthy tones for the natural subtle eye makeup, perfectly complements all Asian skin tones. To complete the uzzlang look, define the eyes using a brown eyeliner, soft pink blush, light-stroked brows and a sweet natural color lipgloss.

The event ended with Ms Shirley Loh (Professional Affairs Manager from JJVC), who shared her views on the rise in popularity of beauty enhancement lenses.
In S'pore, the no. of beauty enhancement contact lens wearers have doubled in the last 3 years. With this increasing usage, women in particular, are increasingly on the lookout for lenses that enhance beauty while ensuring their eye health is not compromised.
Developed by JJVC, the Beauty-Wrapped-In-Comfort™ technology envelops the colorants within the lenses so that they are not in direct contact with the eyes. FYI, 1 • DAY ACUVUE® DEFINE™ is the No.1 best-seller in Korea, where women are known for their impeccable sense of fashion, style and beauty.
The fully-filled plate is mine.. They went for 2nd round, which I didn't (lol).
Me loveeee polaroid shots! :3
The handy gift - L'occitane Verbena Cleansing Hand Wash. A gentle reminder for us to wash our hands before putting on contact lenses. Thoughtful much :D
As for the 1 • DAY ACUVUE® DEFINE™ NATURAL SHINE™, I redeemed thru' the Acuvue website.
Lee Min Jung, 1 • DAY ACUVUE® DEFINE™ brand advocate. If you're into K-drama, you might find her familar. Her lastest drama - Midas. (Sidetrack: I kinda gave up after watching a few episodes. Might continue watching I guess.)
